A toddler who slipped outside through a doggie door was mauled to death by her family's seven dogs in the backyard while the attack went unnoticed by child's mother and other relatives inside their home, a southeast Georgia sheriff said Thursday.
Bryan County Sheriff Clyde Smith said the child's grandmother told investigators she was lying in bed when she heard the pit bulls and pit bull mixes barking, and she looked outside her window to see them dragging the girl. Smith said she began yelling, "They're killing Monica!"

One of my brothers and his wife got rid of their small POODLE when it nipped someone and they had a new baby.
Mother not watching her child, grandma lying in bed. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE!!! Lazy, useless morons. Charge these fools with neglect, and murder. This enrages me. I’m so tired of things like this.

Doesn’t matter what breed, NEVER leave a small child unattended with ANY dog, let alone seven. Even with the best-behaved of canines, pack mentality can assert itself in dangerous ways.
Seven anybreed is a bit much. These dogs have a bit more inclination to be aggressive, but this whole episode could have started as rough play gone too far. If there were that many damned people living at that address, why the hell wasn’t SOMEONE watching the baby? Demanding the banning of American Staffordshire Terriers is not different than banning AR-15s. Buy a clue.
I am about to abandon my Libertarian views but ths is one instance where something does just need to be banned. There are a gazillion choices of breeds to choose from which will defend you and your property but not kill you in the process. Cesar Milan can handle these dogs. You and me not so much.
I have a pack of four male dogs, three of them tiny minpins. They bark at everyone who goes near the fence. I don’t think that they would ever harm anyone, but the pack mentality is a strong thing. Imagine 7 pit bulls.
Dogs are not inanimate tools. bogus comparison.
