The Federation are space Democrats based in San Fran.

Star Wars features rag tag Tea Partiers fighting an elite military like the revolutionary war, so Star Wars>Star Trek

If Lucas has paid someone ten thousand bucks to write / edit the dialogue he’d have another billion dollars now.

Oh, yeah. For example, there were these gems:

"It's the ship that made the Kessel run in less than twelve parsecs." What? It's three blocks to the store, but I made it in only one. Right.

"I'm haunted by the kiss you should never have given me." Ker-plunk!

"I don't care what universe you're from, that's got to hurt!" Yes, it does.

“Now that I’m with you again, I’m in agony. My heart is beating, hoping that that kiss will not become a scar.” My head is aching, hoping that clunker will not become a memory.

And my personal favorite, because I'm saving it for when 0bama finally gets frog-marched to a waiting paddy wagon, “At an end your rule is, and not short enough was it."

Carrie Fisher was not beautiful but she was hot. I will admit Queen Amidala was pretty even if she is an idjit.

The hottest girl in any of the shows was Sherry Jackson the Android.

Two words: Jeffrey Hunter :-)

That said, I was absolutely blown away by the very first Star Wars -- we saw it in the theater and when the spaceships flew "overhead", we thought that was the coolest thing ever -- the special effects ROCKED. Star Wars by a nose.

... sorry, Jeffrey ...

And here I thought ours was the only family in America where Dad refused to get a color TV when they first came out....

Now I understand. You have resorted to liberal diversion tactics to try hiding your love of the evil Space Basset! (AKA that whose name must never be spoken)...

No Platinum Chip for you...

This is like arguing whether Deputy Dawg is better than Huckleberry Hound.

We were one of the first to get a TV. It was a large B&W. Unfortunately we were slow to get color. Probably not too bad since early color TVs were bad.
I can remember us watching TV and it would go out. Daddy kept a box full of tubes. He would take the back off the TV and replace the bad one and the TV would come back on.

I have no idea how long ago they replaced tubes with circuit boards.

I can admite the purity of the Dark Side’s justice to an extent. But the Space Basset is something more akin to the governing force of ToonTown in Roger Rabbit.

It is a ‘force’ outside good and evil...chaos incarnate. And it must be destroyed....for the children.

Somebody needs to run a picture of Jeri Ryan in her 7 of 9 uniform, preferably from the rear. I know her politics are revolting but she sure does spandex a big favor.

Jolene Blalock, Jeri Ryan, Commander Data, and the First Contact music (Roy Orbison’s oobie dooby and Steppenwolf’s magic carpet ride for starters). I love Star Wars, but I grew up watching Star Trek.

There would never have been Star Wars if not for Star Trek and its success in the market .
