Got to host ‘em before you can post ‘em. IOW you must join a hosting site, like Photobucket, or Flicker. You post your picture there and that site will assign an “address” for it. From there it is simple. The code is:

< img src=”internet address of your picture”>

There is no space between the brackets and the rest of the HTML phrase. I have a space here because otherwise my phrase would disappear. But, when you do it for real — no spaces. There is only one space in the phrase, and that is between the img and the src.

Review it before posting to make sure it works. If you get nothing, or a red x, look over what you have typed to make sure that there are no mistakes.

I only date girls with lightning bolts by their eye. I find they’re the classiest chicks...you know keepers.

Create an account on a photo host site like Photobucket and upload your photos. The site will give you the HTML code to link to the photo. Copy and paste this code into your comments. Remember copyright laws. No problem if you took the photos yourself, but you MUST have permission to use any photos taken by someone else or photos you may have downloaded from other websites. It is possible to “hotlink” to photos on other web sites, but this may also be a copyright violation and it steals bandwidth from other sites.

The photo in your post reminds me....
What is it that the women in the History Channel’s programs, such as “The Pickers” and others, have tattoos all over their bodies? Is this a new American fad? I think it is GROSS.

I think what the heck did he do? It looks like you scrambled the code so it would post as text by substituting %20 for each blank. Clever. No. It posts a photo. I'll try to figger it out.

I host my photos on flickr now and they give you the code to copy and paste. It's a lot more involved but it works.

I read the caveat about embedding photos from other sites and took note about threat of lawsuits. I posted one last night. So I will be more careful but I don't know what's allowed and not.

Several months ago I made a recipe site very mad when I posted a nice photo of a cupcake I think it was. They probably noticed higher hits or how would they know? Anyway, the site owner changed the code for the picture. Luckily it didn't substitute a naughty one but I think it wasn't too nice either.

Yes, hit count in addition to the fact that each visit to a site records the ip address of the user. The same way that FR records the ip addresses of everyone who visits. That is why I always download the photo, change the name and upload it to my site then post the url. I have not been caught yet! ;-)

Danielle Colby-Cushman is into a lot of things besides “The Pickers” such as her own Burlesque Le’Moustache troupe, was on roller derby team, has a clothing boutique in Chicago, etc.
