Poor Paula. It came out in a deposition that some years back she'd actually used the dreaded "N" word. For which admission she was immediately canned by the Food Network. Another case of political correctness, applied long after the fact, run amock. But instead of her tepid video apology, I wish this southern belle had gone done swinging...striking a blow against hypocrisy. After all, look what horrible things befell Bobby Byrd after he uttered the same word...

And what bad things happened to this former Klansman, a one-time rabid segregationist, who personally filibustered the 1964 Civil Rights Act for 14 hours, and who voted against the 1965 Voting Rights Act. What price did he pay for such heinous actions?
Well, later on he admitted that he regretted them, and for such public acts of contrition and self flagellation, the good people of West Virgina re-elected him to the Senate, and his Democrat colleagues in the Senate elected him President Pro Tempore yet again, after his use of the "N" word, which made him THIRD in line for the Presidency, after VP Biden, and House Speaker Pelosi.

I guess Paula isn’t the darling of the liberals as Byrd was. Some people can get away with anything. Others — one slip and it’s sayonara.
I am just glad that capitalism is alive and well. Food network can make choices it decides best for the company. She already was a drain on the network with her previous deception. This was an opportunity for the food network to get rid of her without making a big deal about it. Next time Paula - settle out of court like most do.

Well, I hear that Obama is proposing yet another federal regulation...requiring cooking shows to post the nutritional information for the recipes they air....can you imagine what Paula's would look like...

Paula Deen should have told the world to kiss her big fat ass and retired instead of grovelling. She also should have said “I personally know Jimmy Carter. And he said the word yesterday when he called me and said ‘Paula, I’m sorry you’re getting in trouble for saying n____ back in the 60s.’”
By the way, is it okay to call someone the n-word? Hillary said “effin’ Jews”. So, would it be proper to say “effin n-words”? Just trying to show how stupid all this is. I’ve heard “n-word” a lot over the past few years. I hardly ever hear the real word. So when will it be racist to say “n-word”?

I would say it was Byrd. But the old Klegal [sp?] Srved his master, the Democrat Party faithfully for years. If there is any justice, I hope him and Ted are talking over old times in hell.I usually do not make light of the departed, but in Byrd’s case and Kennedy’s case, I will male an exception.
I don’t watch the food Network but i sent them an e-mail anyways stating that i never will.
Remember a few months back when Paula stated that she has never seen a woman eat as much food as mooch did during a guest appearence on her show.

Byrd was, by far, the worse person.
Also the MSM did their best to cover for Byrd - something they’re NOT doing for Deen.
