Oil Co. survey crews have found a number of potential shipwrecks. I guess there is a plus to oil exploration. I'm sure the Gulf is full of nameless shipwrecks like these three.

Most depressing image-post, ever.

The photos at the site are typical. A few ship wreck photos and a lot of photos of the goobers studying it. Same thing happens on TV. A snippet of the subject matter and 80% of the show is focused on the scientists talking, stupid camera angles like watching the person talk from a profile shot. It makes me change the channel a lot.

I am so excited about this! Can't wait to see the artifacts. There was a piece in the Houston paper about this yesterday and it has been on the local news.

My great grandfather was a ship captain and he went down in a storm but these wrecks are about 100 years older than his.

“...A snippet of the subject matter and 80% of the show is focused on the scientists talking...”

Bet you loved that Civil War documentary where the narrator/writer of ambiguous gender has his face taking up the whole screen — and the depressing, repetitive music!

I can't watch that crap. Even the Military channel and the Military History channel have been purged of the good stuff. Sort of like TV news reporting, we stare at the reporter while a building burns at the edge of the screen well behind them. TV sux. Movies probably do too but I haven't gone to a movie theater in 20 years.
