...That, "CaddyShack", and "Animal House" have got to be the FUNNIEST movies EVER!
Used Cars was freaking hilarious! Using Lenny and Squiggy to jam a presidential address was hysterical..
Ever watch ‘Very Bad Things?’
Taste sure does vary. I didn’t think any of them were extremely funny tho they had their moments.
The original “Vacation was good as was “The Gods Must Be Crazy”. “Airplane” was funny as was “The Princess Bride”.
My Mother thought “The Russians are Coming” was the funniest movie she had ever seen. I saw it not too long ago and thought it was just OK.
All 3 still make me laugh hard everytime I see them.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail was the funniest movie ever! Animal House is a solid second...
Try “Pink Flamingos”... if you dare.
Be that as it may at 10PM eastern I'm switching to Svengoolie.
This week "The Mummy's Tomb."
I also liked “Better Off Dead” and “A Christmas Story” too. I guess that I just like SCHLOCKY Movies! O I liked “Stripes” too!
Movies like this make me forget the WORTHLESS 2000s!
Used Cars was the one that had the scene where the sales guy placed a large rock under a tire during a test drive and backed over it. He had a trained dog scoot under the car and play dead, making the customers feel guilty enough to buy the car telling them this was the dog’s favorite car (or something like that).
“Animal House” man, myself. Loved “Blazing Saddles.”
Trust me....I love them all. Throw 1941 into that basket as well.
Mad, Mad, mad , mad world.
I almost crapped when Jimmy Durante kicked the bucket.
I loved “The Gods Must Be Crazy”. I also liked “Men at Work” and “Rat Race”.
Did that, certainly don't recommend it.
2 of my favs..Planes, Trains and Automobiles and the original uncensored Major League. For hystericals...the Fawlty Tower series
YES! Best movie EVAR!
Animal House was good. But my list would include Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstien, and Airplane. Plus The Naked Gun had moments.
Bookmarking. Mel was genius. Young Frankenstein, one of my favorites.
I can’t believe I’ve never seen some of these..
... and A Shot in the Dark.
Hey, it’s fun for the whole family. ;-D
“I said a Phillips head. Toby”
One of my favorite movies of all time. Absolutely hilarious fun. Back when no one gave a schitt about who was offended. Kurt Russell was the perfect guy for the role.
Thanks for the link.
If your using Firefox, get the addon “Download Helper”. You can download the movie....or any youtube video.
I forgot about “Young Frankenstein”. One of the best. “Elevate me”, “Here, right now?”
It’s a shame when people be throwin’ out a perfectly good white boy.
Thanks for the link. Great movie.
On TCM today there was one called Rationing. It was a nice surprise. It has Ma Kettle in it.
That movie could not be made today what with ‘political correctness’ !!
= = = = = = = = = = = = =
Too bad TCM won’t get and give plenty of alert to “Blazing Saddles”.
Most of the stations that play it bleep out all the ‘bad’ (well, they say bad) stuff.
I found it on IFC (Ch 133 on Dish)and they played it UNCUT, but it had commercials.
They ran it about 8 times in a weeks period..
Just watched it this afternoon and they even managed to take a shot at the “Irish” when the RR workers demanded a home in the town and the Johnsons said the Blacks were Ok but only the Blacks...they protested and the Johnsons said “Ok everyone BUT the Irish”....think they finally gave in BUT they managed to hit every known ethnic and racial slur for THAT time frame....including ‘farting’ and ‘faggots’.
You are absolutely 66% right! My personal top 3 is Used Cars, Animal House, and Blazing Saddles. But, we make allowances for such differences ;-)
Used Cars is still funny start-to-end, and some parts of it have worked it’s way into my lexicon. “Fifty bucks never killed anybody”....
And you cannot top taking a firehose to nuns when it comes to humor!
