The adult film industry in San Fernando Valley in California, announced a moratorium on the making of porn films Wednesday after an actor tested positive for HIV.

The performer was not immediately identified and officials didn't say when the positive test was recorded.

The actor's sex partners are currently being tested by doctors with Adult Production Health and Safety Services, which works with the porn industry.

X-Biz, an adult industry trade magazine, reported that the performer with the HIV-positive test is female and new to the industry says the Los Angeles Daily News.

So you’ve got 8,000 versions of Hamlet to draw on. If you are given a version recorded in 1980 you think someone is going to recognize it’s not, uh, fresh?

Laurence Harvey's bewildering Hamlet in "The Magic Christian"

Much worse than porn in my opinion.

Glad you enjoyed my little yard sale of insanity...:)

Yeah, it’s me.

If I was gonna use a fake photo, it wouldn’t be those.

[Bo Derek, maybe]

A rockin’ FR buddy sent me the Gibson image.

We’re livid about the crap they were put through.

I did NOT get R&GaD. Maybe I have an engineer’s soul.

The version of Hamlet that the MST3K crew got their hands on was a 1961 German production. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0053888/) Black-and-white, minimal sets, very...German. I’d actually have watched it without MiSTing though - somehow, it worked.

I understand that Rule 34 is in effect and there is porn for everything. Still, Ms. Bay doesn't do it for me. Not even me at 17 after 10 shots and a viagra.

The whole movie was a feast of bizarre inside jokes such as Newtonian physics, DaVinci inventions, laws of probability, etc.

Guildenstern is driven to distraction by Rosencrantz, who is constantly, inadvertently making these “discoveries” along the way, even though he is cast as the fool of the pair.

It’s almost absurdist but with a wry, dry wit.

Even Dreyfuss is brilliant as the eccentric Player and his traveling tragedians are a delight.

Give it another shot and really *watch* ~everything~.

The Hamlet ep is one of my favorite MSTK3s.

Another is The Final Sacrifice, partly because of the over the top corniness and Zap: “It’s A Cult.”’ Crow: “They worship Blue Oysters”

:)

I’ll give it another shot. I was a lot younger when I saw it, which probably made a difference.

The Final Sacrifice was awesome! Bicycle chases through majestic Southern Alberta! Zapp Rosdower and his beer bottles of doom! Unemployed wrestlers with bags on their heads! (And let us not forget Tom’s Canada song!)
