The Bacon Freak Is Here: $1 Million per year from Bacon, a Sense of Humor and an Online Store

Ask CEO Rocco Loosbrock how Bacon Freak got started, and he's got a jokey answer, one he's probably used a hundred times before:

"One too many glasses of wine."

In this case, though, it's no joke. Prior to starting Bacon Freak—a light-hearted site that sells all things bacon—Loosbrock had been making a living selling wine by hosting wine dinners, wine parties, and wine events.

Chicken with apple sausages are $4.99 at Trader Joes. The bacon boy is a tad overpriced. Reminds me of Sharper Image.

I bought one of those and one w/ cheese, and split the regular Bacon Explosion with Family and friends. It’s an amazing amalgam of sausage and bacon! The Bacon Explosion w/ Cheese is still in the freezer. Shipping (2-day FedEx) is costly, but 1x or 2x/ year is worth it.

Mmmm bacon pancakes. Reminds Saturday morning breakfast at grandparents. My grandmother would toss a few pieces of pork rind into the pancake batter and let it cook into the pancakes.

I always thought that it was a bit strange but my dad was telling me the other day that bacon was very scarce when he grew up and the rind in the pancakes was a real treat.

Since 1887, four generations of my family have produced premium quality Applewood-smoked hams, bacon, sausage and poultry. We still use the same time-tested methods and all natural ingredients, blended by hand with cures and spices in an artisinal process that’s been handed down from father to son. Then, we slow-smoke these specialities with a unique 24-hour process over real Wisconsin Applewood logs, finishing them to perfection.

Our family’s Applewood smoked ham, smoked bacon, smoked poultry and sausage deliver genuine old-fashioned quality and goodness. I promise...you’ll be impressed with our fire-toasted flavor and truly impressive gourmet food gifts, all of which we provide with a 100% guarantee of satisfaction.

Shop our online store today... and experience the Nueske difference.
