Did McCain, Graham, Peter King & others align with the LMSM and hurt the GOP recently?

I don't seem to ever recall Democrats turning on their own like several "Republicans" have recently.

I wonder how things would have turned out in the fight to defund, delay, alter ObamaCare if so-called Republicans would have listened to Reagan, when he underwent so many personal attacks during his 1966 campaign for governor, which led to the Eleventh Commandment: "Thou shatlt not speak ill of any Republican. Reagan said "It's a rule that I followed in that campaign and have ever since."

McCain and others seem to like to evoke Reagan, but don't appear to follow what he said.

In my humble opinion, there is no doubt that if Republicans would have stuck together and not attacked others that the push to make all members of Congress have to sign up for ObamaCare (supported by over 80% of Americans) would have been driven through, along with ending the medical device tax, which had bipartisan support, and which Reid himself called a "stupid tax."

McCain is a "maverick" remember? When will he "maverick" the Democratic Party and ride out on a constant basis against them?

If some elected GOPers have a problem with Tea Partiers, then fine, but take it out with them in private. This constant airing out in public means that a once-and-for-all super-primarying of public anti-Tea Party agitators may end up being necessary to send a message that if you have a problem, stick to Reagan's Rule, and air out problems in private, otherwise you get primaried for that alone.

This giving of ammo to the LMSM by certain people in the GOP has got to stop.

It reminds me of back when McCain constantly "mavericked" Bush, and when McCain abusively called Tea Partiers "Hobbits" and mocked them in that speech. When will McCain and others "maverick" the Democrat Party?

Yet, conservatives are chided whenever we criticize these quisling Republicans. They want us to vote for them come election time and then it’s back to screwing us over for the rest of their terms.

McCain was given airtime by the hand-wringer Michael Medved, which he used to blast his own party. Just about drove into the ditch it made me so mad.

Yes, you never see the Dems do the circular firing squad like the McCain wing of the party does. They were lockstep throughout this endeavor. This same wing of the party got crushed in 2006, 2008 and 2012. The only election we’ve won recently is 2010 when this wing was a non-factor.

Don’t do Medved any favors by listening to his crap show. I wouldn’t listen to it for free beer.

They may have won the battle but they started a war. We’ll see who’s victorious in the end.

I'm thinking that somebody like Cruz or Palin should set up a competitor to the RNC. Conservatives could send donations to the new group instead of the RNC and it would promote the conservative wing of the party and let the RNC worry about helping the others.
If enough money goes to the conservative fund, there will be a major change in attitudes.

Didn’t Palin have an organization that funded conservative candidates at one one time?

The GOP has always rallied the base at election time with lip service to certain conservative hot button issues, no matter how craven or traitorous they were during the session.

Frankly I don't see how they're going to be able to do that this time.

This time they were weighed & measured in the open for everyone to see. To say they came up wanting is a ludicrous understatement.

Well I just lost my local Mark Levin station as the owner was losing money. So he donated it to a church and took the tax writeoff. My only other talk choice on the drive home is the local Leftist idiot.

The old guard squishes felt threatened by the young up and coming senators like Ted Cruz and Mike Lee. The old bastards are desperate to hold on to power. They are destroying the republican party while they desperately try to hold on. It's time for the weasels to go.
