And so it begins the plentiful coverage of the 50th anniversary of the assassination of U.S. president John F. Kennedy. The date itself is weeks away and there will be countless commemorative programs, specials and copious punditry on TV.
JFK: The Smoking Gun (Sunday, Discovery, 8 p.m.) is one of the most controversial of the bunch. Made for the tiny U.S. cable channel Reelz, its a two-hour docudrama based on the book of the same name by former Australian police detective Colin McLaren. He claims to have spent years on the forensic cold-case investigation of JFKs assassination and says he believes he has found the smoking gun that killed the president. His conclusion is not the accepted story.

I read the book that presented the ballistic evidence and which bullet killed Kennedy and in my opinion it is true a secret service agent in the car behind reacted to the first shot and in doing that fired a bullet that hit Kennedy in the head - the back and partial top of his head. That was the killing shot. A weapons expert I knew at the time was the one who told me to get that book - he also agreed that had to be the way it happened.
A photo, shot by Al Volkland, of the Secret Service follow-up car speeding down the Stemmons Freeway toward Parkland Hospital shows Agent Hickey brandishing an AR-15 assault rifle.
Funny you should type this, because I didn't even go into the Texas Book Depository build. I just stood on the street at the top of the underpass and looked over my shoulder. It felt like I could have reached out and touched that window. Like you, I knew all the hype and supposition was all stuff and nonsense.
Showed what one motivated Marine and his rifle can do.
Have you seen the autopsy photos? The right rear side of his head was blown out, not the front of his skull.
Yeah, just like the Mannlicher-Carcano has been :)
How did they explain the “magic bullet” that zig zagged and hit both Kennedy and Connely?
No makeup?
It’s a conspiracy. Start with that, and everything else will become readily apparent in your a$$, ready to be pulled directly out of there :)
It went in a straight line.
The gentlemen were NOT in a straight line...
Okay, thanks.
Linky?
Life is a conspiracy.
Google Images under JFK autopsy. Very gross.
Every time the movie, “JFK”, is on TV I try to watch it. Kevin Costner stars in it. Interesting and a little bizarre. Each time I see it, I catch something new.
I heard they were trying to trick us into believing that.
IIRC, it showed that the drain was
(a) dimensionally unsuited to a person taller than four feet (i.e. over age ten) to do anything complicated, and
(b) located such that a shooter shooting at the appropriate moment would have had to shoot through inconveniently thick parts of the car to reach the target.
Please let me know what you think after you’ve seen the photos.
Look at his connection to the FBI as an informant, pretending to be a pro-Communist radical.
Forget about bullet trajectories, evidence was destroyed or altered - look at LHO. Look at his operator in the Dallas area George de Mohrenschildt who killed himself before having to testify in 1978. Look at who Ruby was. From these angles you will see a conspiracy.
Yes, ignore all evidence and objective reality and trust my schizophrenia dreams in the dark, dark hours before a dusky dawn.
