CNN has made significant cuts to its interview with the Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vitaly Churkin, most notably his comments on the number of people that actually support Syrian President Bashar Assad.

I was in the middle east during Hafez Assad’s tenure as president. It was the exact same thing then. I don’t why we get so upset with Bashar...fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree. Nothing is different.
And freedom of the press doesn't mean that they have to tell you everything just what 'they' want you to hear and see. And if one side gains total control of the press so that you only hear what 'they' want you to hear then it's time to break up the press.
Anything from the Communist News Network is meaningless.
If not for FOX, the US would have no media at all.
Amazing the Russians have to call cnnout on this.
Expecting an intellectually honest editing of an interview with CNN, and especially Christiane Amanpour, is a fool’s errand.
