Young voters are easily duped and charmed by charismatic, good-looking politicians who deliver scripted and articulate speeches devoid of truth and logic.

Just goes to show that they (a lot of them) are easily fooled by someone who they THINK is charming and charismatic. Guess there are some evaluating skills missing also.

She couldn’t possibly be talking about the disasters of 2008 and 2012 could she?

As access to information increases, so does access to disinformation.

Yes and unfortunately all major internet portals are in control of statists and progressives.

Calling people “Low Information Voters” may be technically correct, but it doesn’t get their vote. Ask those Democrat voters if they think they are stupid. They think they are “Street Smart” or clever. We have to show them that it is street smart to vote Republican.

Because “they” think “they” have a clue, “they” consider us to be the ones that are uninformed and delusional. Hello kettle!

It’s all ages. My aunt is 82 years old. When she first heard about Obamacare, she thought it would be wonderful. However, my aunt has no computer. She relies on what the propaganda ministry (ABC, CBS, NBC) tells her. To her credit, though, she did go to the library and do some research with the help of a librarian. But most older people wouldn’t think to find out for themselves.

Where I live, most people have voted Democrat for years — even generations. Almost impossible to get them to vote any other way.

You have absolutely nailed my biggest fear.

The yutes have become disillusioned with Obama. But they are too intellectually untethered to have any idea what should come next. Leaving them vulnerable to the next slick-talking demagogue who can click with them at a cultural level.

Can you say Seig Heil?

I’m ashamed of my gender. These are the same ninnies who voted for Clinton because they thought he was handsome. (Where is my barf bag?)

Roger that. My neighbor has a brother who is “all in” on ANYTHING the “lyin’ king” does. His only complaint, the “lyin’ king” hasn’t done enough to “straighten out” this country. No way to sway him or change his little pea brain. None.

You are right... but there has always been the element which is very easily led.

However, NOW with the MSM and social media bought and paid for by the Liberals .... this group is the majority!

They are patronized and coddled by unscrupulous and greedy people who have everything to gain by cultivating a crowd of ‘low information’ automatons who will gladly and readily throw away their vote for immediate, concrete, temporary and strictly personal benefit!

I’m excited about the growth of this new app, http://www.icitizen.com/ — it could appeal to and help inform the youngsters who get their one-dimensional views from government schools and Comedy Central.

This LIV concept is treated as if it were easy to fix.

Sure, the LIV concept seems applicable to the election for President, but what about for all the other state and local offices, Judges, etc ?

While one can get a copy of your local election ballot off the internet, how many will spend the time necessary to investigate each candidate thoroughly?

Most people don’t have the time, and many don’t even have the skills to wade through the mud on the internet.

When you voted in your local election, where there were dozens of offices, and dozens of judges to select.... did you honestly have a fully informed selection for each of your votes ?

I don’t know what these guys think “articulate” means, but contrary to initial assertions, Obama is not articulate. And neither is Dingy Harry or Nancy Pelosi, or any of the other jerks that the media drool over.

As access to information increases, so does access to disinformation.

Yep, and people tend to search for and review information that agrees with them and then stop when they find it.

Winning the argument, in the moment or in the many replays, is often more important than having the right answer, even more so about deeply personal and emotional things.

Disinformation is handy to have, even irresistible, especially in politics with all that money and power at play.

Except for a rare few, part of our rationality will always sing: "Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies..." and will want to shoot the messenger that breaks the spell.

Young voters are, well, young. Each of my adult children had a liberal patch at about 18-23 years old. My youngest voted for Obama in 2008 and by 2012 thought Obama was the devil.
