Re: Double O... Legend totally. only player whose name fitted his number.... Speaking of unique players.

Could not find an Obert Logan's card when he played in Dallas and had jersey number 0, but here is his... Saints card--

And in the Spirit of Allegra, she raises you with Double 00 Ken Burrough... of her beloved but long gone Old Earlers--

Re: And I’d have to take one of the Rachel Nichols’ too, but tough choice. Maybe Ra, I’m into that fake looking red color. But look at El, and Che. She wasn’t named after Che Guevara was she?

The day we were born, it was a real mad house. So, when the nurse asked what my name was to be... my Mother's Italian boyfriend at the time was hard of hearing and he answered, "Che?" Which is Italian for "What?"

Ain't she just... the cat's pajamas?

Maybe they’re looking for a new left fielder since David Murphy is an Indian now.

Picks:
‘Bolts short out in Denver
Jags win streak ends vs. Bills
Browns have no chance against the Bears
Colts win easy over HOU
Patriots win in Miami
Falcons beat fellow duds the ‘Skins
Eagles roll over MINN
Seahawks thump Giants
Panthers bounce back over Jets
Chiefs get 11th win over Raiders
Cowboys with improved D over Green Bay
Cards fly over TN
Saints march over Rams
Bungles over Pitt to wrap up the North
Lions beat Balt on MNF

Browns have no chance against the Bears

Well I hope so, they beat the other 3 AFC North teams. I expect it to be close and ugly.

I’d like to see Russell Wilson dressed up in Village People costumes.

I’m an NFL realist. If I’m picking against the team I’ve followed for 25 years twice in a row, then you know it’s bad.

So do I, now. Why does that sound hilarious?

I must not have been as 404'd as you...

I was seeing double.

What was I going to say?

Oh, picks!

Manning Horses over the Cheap Dodge Cars

Red Jays over the Nashville Midgets

Nice Cars beat the Checks any day.

The Beers wipe the Stains

The Texicans turn the Baby Horses into dog food

The Cheatriots make a tuna sandwich out of the Flippers

The Drowned City devils eat the Lambchops with mint

The Doggles have their way with the Bi-queens

The Gay City Boys bend the Buck-an-ears over the plank

Chickenhawks over the Cryants

Canaries scalp the Bloods

Sunshine Band steals the Waaahders car

Swampcats spray all over the Engines

The Cowbots stuff the Bumpackers

Dunghills over the Thieves

Bankrupt City bakes the Crows in a pie.

Thanks for the most entertaining and non-hypertensive thread on FR.

Uh, I may have walked off with the decoder again...oops.

Thank you. You certainly know your football to state these cases. It would be great to be number ZERO on a team or ZERO ZERO!

Chargers QB Phillip Rivers imho, is a good family man, has publicly supported conservative causes, from Alabama, went to NC State. I’ve been hoping for the Chargers though clearly, they’ve had a hard-time this year and are in a division with 2 powerhouses.

Most points they lost by was 10 in their 7 losses: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/teams/page/SD/san-diego-chargers some good victories too.

I like Rivers, even though he seems to be the clear loser in the “who is better, Big Ben, Eli, or Rivers?” discussion as they each have 2 rings. But still, his other numbers are better.

Den trailing a halftime, again. 3rd game in a row. That’s just a tad troubling for them.

“I like Rivers, even though he seems to be the clear loser...”

He’s got the Dan Marino syndrome going (lesser QB’s winning SB’s). As a pure passer, I’d say he’s better than Book of Eli and just a hair behind Rapistberger (when not injured or getting investigated).

SD is one of those “always .500” franchises.

Chargers have had their good years alright, they’ve had their bad and it’s interesting, all time-record coming into tonight’s game: 405-401-11, http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/sdg/

Broncos score, even before that, Peyton being 14 down in the 4th is no obstacle... Broncos will probably pull this out but SD has played a very good game, not watching real close, a bit.

That’s about as close to .500 as can be - thanks for the info.

Very good game; I started watching in the 2nd half; should go to the last gun.
