why not show the whole thing?

Where Sherman patted him on the ass, and held his hands to his throat: “CHOKE”

Why make Crabtree out to be the bad guy?

Obviously most of the people posting here have never been in a huddle. I was always a big fat white guy on teams with a majority of African Americans from pee wees through college. That doesn’t even qualify as a rant. I wouldn’t have batted an eye if he dropped several N bombs. Some of the trash talking I have heard through the years has been amazing- my favorite had to do with the LB that lined up behind me and what he was going to do to the QB. It involved the ear hole in the Qb’s helmet. Both of them actually.. The QB looked at me and we both just shrugged and smiled. Damn funny.

That was the best part! Sort of like the look if your toddler were to make a spectacle of himself at someone’s funeral.

Personally, I was impressed with his use of the word “caveat.”

What surprises me the most is the reaction - the vitriol, the threats, the downright nastiness, the filth being spewed I’ve seen coming out of his critics in many, many cases is far, far, far worse than anything Sherm actually said/did on the field or the interview!

Would you act/talk that way in front of your grandmother?

Sure is an interesting study into human nature!
And sour grapes!

Apparently, Sherman effectively made a whole lot more Denver fans with his full on thug blast on live TV.

I saw the interview with Erin Andrews and immediately thought I personally cannot wait for the Denver Bronco's to absolutely CRUSH the Seattle Seahawks because of Sherman's "classy" behavior.

The guy is a Grade-A jackass.

There is more trash-talking on FR than what goes on in football games.

>>Most of these NFL players have IQ’s of 90 and below<<

Wanna freaking bet?

Think you could keep 100+ different plays with probably 3 or 4 variants resulting in 100s of plays in your head after a week?

And then seeing the players assembled in front of you in a straight line of sight (not the nice 3/4 aerial view we get on TV) and recognizing they are matching a tendancy (not just a simple alignment)?

NFL players may be a lot of things — thuggish, crude, uncultured.

One thing they are NOT is dumb.

I love his enthusiasm. He only made himself look foolish.
This is a non controversy, IMHO.

If you want a corporate right-speak interview, check our Russell Wilson. Nice guy but too well schooled in blah.

As for Sherman: 3.9 from Stanford, 1200/1400 SAT’s, MBA. Not a gang banger in the least even though he came from a very rough neighborhood.

But the smart move would have been to take a deep breath and/or 10 minutes before meeting the press. I used to get pretty amp’d riding bike store time trials, so I can only imagine a world where 65000 fans are pumping you up.

In a way, I was kind of delighted.

How many times daily do we get the pre-washed, toned down, PC correct speech that is basically designed to offend no one and pretty much say nothing!

Sherm at least let it all hang out!

;-)

Some folks are still trying to say Seattle should not have won.

Hey. SF played a better first half, no doubt. But Carroll made adjustments, they put the points on the board to catch up and then go ahead, and the Seattle D figured out SF and shut em down.

If this game had gone another quarter, Seattle would have been 20 points ahead, not four or five...

I agree. There is only one quarter that you have to win - the 4th.

true. I am a Manning fan and will be pulling for the Denver Mannings regardless of what they do...even more so after hearing about the food thown at Bowman and Carroll’s wacko beliefs. Seattle is a nutcase town anyway.
