Several dozen surrogate babies born, or about to be born, in Thailand — through the arrangements of Israeli couples — are unable to come to Israel because the Interior Ministry has not granted Israeli citizenship to the infants, according to an advocacy group formed around the issue.
There are currently some 65 babies stuck in Thailand that were conceived by homosexual Israeli couples, according to the group “Help Us Bring the Babies Home.” The group formed a Facebook page last week that has already garnered some 14,000 “Likes” and the support of Gal Uchovsky, a prominent Tel Aviv LGBTQ activist and journalist.
The group has focused its attention on Interior Minister Gideon Sa’ar, and is planning multiple demonstrations outside his Tel Aviv home this week, culminating Thursday in a large rally organized with the help of various LGBTQ organizations.

(I admit I just do not know..... gee, some people sure do some crazy things these days!!!!! May God have mercy on all of us!)
This sounds very predatory. Who would do this to a child? Shame on the Thai women who agreed to this.
Thailand? OMG babies being shipped from Thailand to gay couples in Israel? The whole concept sounds evil. And why would they be Israeli citizens if born in Thailand?
If it’ her egg, how can the Thai woman be a “surrogate mother”?

It’s predatory on the women AND the babies. Once, decades ago, I did a surrogacy case and it made me feel dirty. It was a type of prostitution.

Babies are human and have rights, too. The most basic ones is to be born to a mother and father who have a legally recognized commitment to provide them with a stable personal identity, a place in their kinship system of origin, and support and sustenance. This idea of exploiting Asian women by rental of their bodies as reproductive concubines is barbaric. It reduces the gestational mother to an instrumental, sub-personal level, and completely abrogates the gestational bonding needs of the child. The concoction and purchase of children as lifestyle accessories is a violation of human rights at the most foundational level.
Don’t blame the Thai woman. She’s probably really a girl and it beats 50 men a night in the brothel/

They mean “Baby taken from mother at birth and adopted and raised as if it were one’s own.”
“Will you have a baby for me? When the baby is born you give it to me and never see it again. Then I can call it my baby.”
