Chuck Hagel has announced that several more Congressional Medals of Honor (CMOH) will be awarded next week in a White House ceremony.
John "Swift Boat" Kerry-Heinz will be awarded the medal belatedly for his heroic actions when working with the CIA in Cambodia Christmas 1968. As commander of the boat, Swift Boat John personally manned the 50 caliber machine gun on the bow of the swift boat when his lone swift boat was attacked by a larger force. He, alone after most of his crew was incapacitated (doped or drunk), sunk 15 - 20 attacker boats and then captained his severely damaged swift boat back to safety in Vietnam.
VP Slow Joe Biden will be awarded the CMOH because of his valor in the war on common sense and also because social justice requires that at least one mentally challenged person be awarded the medal. Since Slow Joe is technically brain dead, his award will be posthumous.
Chuck stated that he is committed to ensure that these forgotten acts of heroism are recognized and rewarded. He also hoped that maybe a future SEC Def might find a little something for him that had been overlooked in his past service ... wink, wink.
When everyone is called a super hero... no one is.

The number of political correctness awards goes up to 45 with this batch, although unlike Kerry and Biden, these guys actually are heroes and were awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. Their awards are being upgraded due to discrimination, or so they say.
Several? That’s only two.
How about a third to Obama for personally killing Osama bin Laden and then pretending that the Seal Team did it.
He’ll also get a Purple Heart for a papercut from his golf card.
I predict one for Travon Martin!! and Boehner and Cornyn and Mitchell and that sorry paul ryan — WILL VOTE FOR IT!!

Hey!!! It’s EVERY BIT as well deserved as his three purple hearts.
I read some of the citations, and there are certainly less deserving folks who have gotten the Medal for political reasons in the past.
I remember this also happening on POTUS #42 WJC's watch. However, I believe they were mostly black soldiers and WWII veterans. Some of the citations, particularly those bestowed posthumously, made me misty. So, maybe these from Korea and Vietnam will be similar. Never too late to honor those who went above and beyond the call of duty.
Francois Kerry was in Vietnam 2 months (shot himself in the foot) before being sent to serve as Ted Kennedys Valet...
On a side note I’m taking bets that soebarkha wiil award the MOH to a meat gazer soon.
