Homer is from coal country, he knows the value of coal.

I’m guessing he’s probably eaten a squirrel or two in his life as well.

Homer wrote an excellent book, which I enjoyed very much.

I play senior softball with Homer and he's a flaming liberal jackass! Oh wait, maybe not the same Homer....

Even before I figured out what the message was, I just couldn’t believe they were using cartoons. And all the time they spent bashing the Church over executing some monk I never heard of. Usually the Church bashers go with the Galileo trial. I guess that wasn’t good enough because they didn’t execute him.

Didn’t miss much. A rudimentary tour of where the Earth is in the universe, paying homage to Carl Sagan, an over-the-top anti-church cartoon, and a whole bunch of commercials. It was a confusing mess.

“Good movie too”

IMO, the book was better. But I have an artist’s active imagination. I could see the scenes in my head.

I WAS going to watch it.

I was also, it's why I recorded it.

Time to free up an hour on the DVR...

“30 minutes of an anti church cartoon gave it away?”

Exactly - that’s the point where I turned it off.
You can state a point and place it historical context, without blasting an entire faith. These PC clowns chose purposely to smear an entire religion, as well as the wider Christian faith.
I’m waiting to see how they will work in the whole environmental/global warming/man-bad-Gaia-good angle.

Bruno’s issues extended well past his astronomy. He lived during a time of orthodoxy and espoused a pantheistic theology. The cartoonish cartoon didn’t portray the trial well at all.
