W. C. Harris is a radical gay activist and Professor of Queer Studies and Early American Literature. He says that homosexuals are still cruelly oppressed in America, even though some of them may end up with very comfortable jobs as university professors....
He is particularly angry with the Christian right for oppressing him....
So he would like to abolish Christianity altogether....and replace it with that he wittily calls “Gaytheism,” i.e., homosexual atheism.
Unlike beastly old Christianity, this new religion will meet our spiritual needs with “new forms of community that do not harass and malign gay and lesbian Americans or impede collective social progress.” One of the rituals of this exciting new religion, he explains, might be “barebacking”: that is, unprotected anal sex....

Having won the equal right to marriage, it was only to be expected that gay men should then want an equal right to produce offspring. But since Mother Nature has decreed this impossible...gay men have decided to claim equality by showing that they can at least breed viruses....

I try not to compare people to the Nazis too often, but if you read National Socialist theories and utopian literature, the comparison can be made just in terms of how deranged and mentally ill these people are. There is an element of devil-worship to it, I swear to God.

I will point out that there is a legal (if draconian) way of dealing with people who deliberately infect other people with their disease, and it's been tested all the way to the Supreme Court. It's called "jail".

Ok, now that you mention it, probably did subconsciously remind me of Verne BUT I was referring to the two ‘characters’ in the background.
I kind of think they both are a little ‘too light in the loafers’ and make the ‘Village People’ appear masculine.
