And none of what you said is at all anything other than blah blah blah...I tried something and it works for me.

Humans are OMNIVORES. Moderation in all things. You do not describe your diet prior. As far as I can tell you are pushing your version of the local fad. Jim cixx would agree with you I am sure.....but he can’t

And I am older than you (and I have a long lived family history) and am in great health. Be appalled all you want. The majority of those fatties are not doing anything other than eating a ton of grains and cheeses and nonsense food.

What’s your fasting insulin level? Postprandial insulin level?

To answer your question, the guy claims that dairy, cheese and OLIVE OIL are bad for you. Just eat carbs!

"He’s not advocating a vegetarian diet.

That's right. He's advocating a VEGAN diet.

I wonder how many insulin resistant people would be pushed into full-blown diabetes by eating nothing but carbs, including rice and potatoes.

Read “Death by Food Pyramid” by Denise Minger. The Food pyramid was set up by the USDA with grains taking up the largest part more because it was less costly and thus wouldn’t wreck the food stamp program. The food pyramid nutritional value didn’t concern the USDA in the least.

People are supposed to look good, feel great, and function correctly for a lifetime, but most don’t.

There are plenty of carnivores and herbivores on the planet that don’t use fire, clothing, and tools. We have much more the digestive system of a carnivore or omnivore than of an herbivore.

Humans should eat lots of veggies, meat when they can get it, and fruit in season. But grains and legumes were/are mostly poisonous and indigestible without (relatively speaking) modern processing and some people’s metabolism cannot run on them well. Some get quite sick. Pockets of genetic groups (asians/middle east) may do better with grains but they are killing the rest.

We seem to be able to get meat pretty regularly these days.

“But too much protein is what is making us fat and sick. I’ve been around for 65 years now”

I’m 76, been eating meat potatoes and gravy all my life and weigh the same and can still wear the suit I graduated from high school in and don’t get sick and have never had the flu!

Potatoes, rice pasta bean soup, bread, kale, spinach, etc. On this diet you can eat as mch as you want

If I ate all that white garbage--bread, potatoes, rice, pasta, beans--my blood sugar would zoom over 200 and I'd be diabetic like millions of other Americans. It's only by giving up all the processed grains and high-glycemic sugary things like potatoes and rice that my blood sugar has come down into a nice stable healthy range.

For the past thirty years the government has been telling Americans to eat as you do, and now we have an epidemic of people who eat that stuff but can't lose weight or lower their blood sugar and blood pressure no matter how hard they exercise. I'm sincerely glad your diet works for you, but for millions, it's been a recipe for disaster. We are all different, so one thing rarely works for everyone.
