I would agree that his father would be smarter to encourage his son to develop his own talents instead of continually opening doors for him.

I watched him and his daddy in After Earth (only because it was free). Talk about a no-talent nimrod. He has about as much presence as a fence post. His daddy bought him a starring role and he was able to do nothing with it - literally.
