TIME: Eat Butter. Scientists Labeled Fat the Enemy. Why They Were Wrong.

TIME-600x800

Isn’t it pretty, the cover of the latest issue of TIME?

The paradigm shift continues and the outdated fear of fat is on its way out faster and faster.

You’d wish that some old-school fat phobics subscribed to the magazine. Unfortunately, I think this is hoping for too much, so I just emailed the cover to some of them.

Some people will still spread low-fat margarine on their bread as long as they live, as an old habit. But most people will soon realize that not only does it taste bad, but it’s also completely unnecessary.

Consider passing this on to your friends!

I atopped buying margarine when I found out it was mostly plastic. Fake in other words. Went back to butter!

Yes, but make sure it is GOOD butter from grass-fed cows. Start using Irish Kerrygold butter and you will never want to eat anything else.

GrannyBuckeye is 99 years old. She has eaten gluten, butter, bacon, eggs, and whole milk her entire life.

Never forget that science is an observation. You know what they say about the eye of the beholder.

The universe is contracting. The universe is expanding.

...

And so on.

> What else were they wrong about?
> Salt was another one.

Salt does not cause high blood pressure, it is an effect. High blood pressure is regulated by the adrenal gland.

Ignoring nutrition articles is difficult because there are so many of them. YOu can find some experts that agree with you and others that disagree.

Decades ago, I went to a nutritionist who advised plenty of red meat for me, tho she discouraged other clients from eating it. No oils, but a pat of butter a day and four eggs/week are good. Fish, baked potatoes and lightly steamed greens are OK. Avoid salt, sugar, honey, forget chicken and bread and don’t eat grains except oatmeal. Every time I go back on this diet, my health bounces back; if I ignore it, my energy level begins to decline, so she was apparently correct. And totally in agreement with this latest fad.

I really love sugar, but the rest of it is easy to follow.

Best wishes for finding what works really well for you:)

That’s too funny. I’ve been married 22 years. The first time I cooked for my husband, he asked, “What the hell is in these mash potatoes?! I’ve never had mashed potatoes this good.”

“Potatoes, milk, butter, and salt,” I said.

“Don’t ever cook my food with margarine,” he said.

“Hadn’t planned to, darlin’.”

“Best wishes for finding what works really well for you:)”

Plenty of greens, yogurt, fruit, meat, 3 eggs a day with three bacon strips. Plenty of chocolate. But I work out five days a week. For my size and weight I’m probably the fittest looking sixty-year-old you’ll meet. I can, under certain bad lighting conditions, see all my abs.

I pat all the grease out of food. I avoid pizza like the black plague. I’ll buy a salad if I have to eat out. But I want meat in it and blue cheese. As I said, eat in moderation. (Oh, alcohol feels like I ate ground glass, so that helps with the svelteness.)

That is how my mom and a couple of aunts man creamed potatoes. For my money, can’t be beat.

Add a dollop of sour cream to give them more flavor.

“Salt does not cause high blood pressure, it is an effect. High blood pressure is regulated by the adrenal gland.”

And my adrenal glands go into overdrive when someone from the High Plains of Idiocracy takes away either my salt or my butter.

Hey, that’s a great diet. Don’t know about the bacon, but I had grass-fed roast pork for lunch yesterday at the uberhealthy food co-op in Moscow, ID, where I was visiting a friend. I go to the gym 3x/wk, work out on the same equipment we saw Putin using in the funny video comparison with Obma’s workout going around the Web last week. My abs are missing and still lost, tho I’m working on them. All in all, I’m in excellent —even enviable—shape considering that I”m a girl and older than you:)

Maybe the abs need 5 gym visits/wk to respond? Give me another year and we’ll compare notes. Meanwhile, I get to wear “control” undies and you probably don’t:)

Why They Were Wrong.

It all comes down to government crony capitalism, corruption, George McGovern Commision, and Ancel Keys.

Before it is over, the progressives will have caused more pain and killed more than Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot combined.

I think nature intended for women to have a little softness in the middle. The Madonna look is...not attractive. It’s almost impossible for women to have visible abs. The thing that allows it is testosterone.

Incidentally, the Rubenesqe woman was greatly appreciated until around WW1. Then fashion magazines came into being. Paris dress makers were setting the style and the style they wanted didn’t look good on a full-figured woman. So, they photographed young boys wearing their gowns. This desire for thin women is solely a western fetish. If you show silhouettes of women to tribes who have never seen TV or magazines they always pick the fuller-figured women as attractive.

Exercise regularily, you can eat whatever you want.

Natural of course.

Health is about reducing/eliminating free-radicals, oxidation etc.

I just don't know where to begin with that statement. This is a good start:

Do you know the connection between cancer and high carbohydrate consumption?

You may get away with it while you are young, but you would be an exception not to pay the price when you get older.
