FULL TITLE: Giggling nurse with a throat infection who breathed on critically ill baby and said it was 'better off dead' faces being struck off

A nurse who breathed on a critically ill baby while she was suffering from a throat infection and said the newborn was ‘better off dead’ faces being struck off.

Claire Orton giggled after exhaling onto the 'extremely poorly' child while it was being treated at University Hospital in Coventry, Warwickshire, a tribunal heard.

She had told colleagues she had been ill with a throat infection before she deliberately breathed on the infant’s face as if to infect him, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) hearing was told.

Orton was being investigated by Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust over a separate incident when the allegations over 'Baby B' came to light.

Colleague Daniel Top told the panel how he was shocked after Orton made the insensitive comments - which came while she under investigation for allegedly leaving a student nurse to look after a poorly baby, despite being unqualified to do so.

Once again, UK is our Preview of Coming Attractions.

As soon as government starts paying the bills, it becomes much less concerned if a sickly baby dies mysteriously.

Good thing orange is her color because she should be wearing it every day for the next 10-20 years.

I look at her and think of “Fat Bastard” from Austin Powers. “Get in my belly!”

I’m overweight and personally avoid wearing the color orange.

Because I don’t immediately want to be taken for a large Halloween pumpkin.

She obviously thinks pumpkins are fashionable.

"First, do no harm" has been replaced with "Do harm if you think it's the right thing to do."

J.C. Watts was on the money with his Character Counts speech. These days it's not "Do harm if you think it's the right thing to do", it is "Do whatever you want, as long as you know you won't be held accountable."

I consider 85 to 90% of those employed by the Government-Medical Industrial Complex as low-empathy Hedonists and straight-up unexposed clinical Sociopaths.

I have a cousin who is a neonatologist. He had a premie in an isolette that seemed to be doing okay and then came down with clear sigs of a viral infection. The child died. An autopsy revealed that the child died of herpes. Neither parent tested positive for it. The only other non-medical staff visiting the child was the maternal grandmother. She tested positive for herpes, a diagnosis she rejected as “impossible”.

She finally admitted that she reached into the isolette and gave the child a hug and a kiss. She rejected as absurd that she was responsible for the child’s death. She was a strongly delusional woman with the IQ of a beagle.

What is wrong with Western women? I’m an American myself, but lately they’ve been coming across as constantly emotionally immature and literally walking around messing up on their jobs and everything else, messing up everyone else’s lives.
