Zachary Rapheal Torrance, 18, was arrested Thursday in Hueytown on suspicion of armed robbery.
Police allege Torrance held up one shop on Wednesday and is suspected in three other recent robberies, all in the Birmingham area.
'He told the detective that he had been on the 'Subway Diet' and it had not worked for him and he felt like he wanted his money back,' Hueytown Police Chief Chuck Hagler said.
'The detective felt like he was being serious.'

I told my daughter that even though all that variety of meat looks like salami, bologna, ham, beef, tuna - whatever she'd be better understand that she'd better like Turkey......

Diet didn’t work? He must have ordered the Jive Turkey sandwich on white bread.

LOL! Typically, wanted the results as long as someone else did the actual work. It works kinda like carbon credits. You can use all the energy you want and pay some one else to NOT use any. Guess this guy wanted to eat the sam-itches and thought one of his bro’s doing push up would make the perp lose weight. Liblogic 101.

To be honest, Subway is probably the worst of all fast foods.
Here in Russia it sits idle at any food court housing any other fast food franchise.
It is only popular it places lacking any other budget food chains at all.
On the other hand I fully understand people jumping into their franchise because it is much easier technologically.
It is extraordinary easier to run as far as you don’t need to fry burgers and so on.

I avoid Subway unless there is absolutely no alternative. Huntsville, Alabama airport generally only has (or had) one “restaurant” open, Subway. Yuckkk! I learned to eat before going to the airport. Been stuck for time once or twice and wound up in a Subway. Awful food. I could definitely loose weight on a Subway diet.

Why did you post a pic that is 2848 x 2136? That’s way, way larger than most computer screens.

Fast food in general is not conducive to losing weight. Even the so-called healthy options have a considerable amount of fat, sugar, sodium and what not. They also have a lot of mystery ingredients to improve appearance and taste.
I suppose fast food is OK once in awhile, but a steady diet of Subway sandwiches — 2 or 3 every day — will kill you.
