We really are becoming a nation of twits. FedEx ruined your Christmas? Maybe your laziness and procrastination was a factor. As a brick and mortar retailer who will be closing this spring because of the Internet all I can say is boofreakinghoo on you.

the folks that work for fedex and ups and usps work their butts off right before Christmas and i really feel sorry for them.

idiots that order crap a couple of days before Christmas deserve whatever happens to them. How hard is it to order stuff a couple of weeks (or more) before Christmas?

I did the majority of my shopping online this year. It was a breeze for the most part. the brick-n-mortar stores didn’t have anything in stock to buy, so online was the only choice. The only screwup seems to be one b-n-m store whose online screwed up, but overall the experience was far better than driving and hustling everywhere.

Only in America do people complain about not getting GIFTS.

If it was that important they would have ordered a few days earlier.

This is just news ginning up something to complain about. That is what unredeemed people do. They never see the silver linings, only the clouds.

Anyone really grateful for Christmas and what it means, wouldn’t be all that perturbed about a few days delay. Send it into extra innings, as it were.

And as for your situation, if you cannot lick them then why not join them. Vend your wares in the cyber world.

Poor planning on your part, parents, does not constitute an emergency on my part!

I agree.

If these slugs had actually place their order a few days earlier this wouldn’t have been an issue. Or in the alternative you can have 95% of your Christmas shopping done in October like my wife does. We don’t shop in december, because we don’t need to.

Shipping has been all over the place for us among USPS, UPS, and FedEx this year. We’ve had two day shipping be delivered anywhere from 1-4 days from being shipped. A first class small package expected to arrive on a Monday showed up on the Thursday after. A FedEx ground shipped package expected to arrive on a Thursday showed up on the Tuesday before. Obviously, the key is ordering earlier enough, but I don’t think I’ve seen packages come at such scattered times like this year.

Wanna bet most of the whiners are a bunch of liberals. We know those people are procrastinators and disorganized. Can’t wait for the typical rants at corporate America and for some idiot lefty politician to take a swipe at the evil “rich” at Fed Ex.

Why can’t parents explain to young children that Santa got held up a little, so they’ll be receiving some of their presents a day or two late and they can have more happy days?

To their older children they can explain that UPS got a little held up, that their gifts are on the way, that it’s wrong to expect perfection from mere mortals like delivery men, that only God is infallible, and that they should learn the lesson that they should always order on-line gifts early.

Noel, noel.

FedEx problem was contracting with the freeking POST OFFICE for long haul ground freight and final deliveries. Hey FedEx, you got where you are today because people DON’T want to use the post office, and now you know the reason.

Can you imagine....their CEO, on Christmas Day, having this on his plate.

I liked 'em better when they were the "FLYING TIGERS".

* They came by that name honestly.

Fedex, UPS all of them are basically reliant on $8.00 an hour low wage earners to move packages. They come and go.

I use Amazon Prime also, but this year shopped mostly locally. Only ordered 3 gifts, which I couldn’t find locally.
