Flint is Flint’s problem.
Not the nation’s and barely Michigan’s.
As for Michael Moore....nope.
First step to helping America’s cities is to close down the Department of Housing and Urban development.
I live in Michigan.
Flint is a hole. The water crisis reached national attention because the left wanted to get rid of our Republican Governor.
Flint should be no ones priority with the exception of attorneys prosecuting the local democrat political scum that caused the crisis.
Trump needs to focus on (in no particular order):

Clintons gone
Bill and Hillary victims vindicated
Obamas gone
Kerry gone
ValJar gone
NeoCons destroyed (e.g. Kristol, Will)
RINOs brought to heal
Bust of Churchill coming home (hope)
Criminal indictments
NAFTA renegotiated
TPP gone
Iran Deal blown up
ObamaCare gone
Originalist SCOTUS Judges in
1st, 2nd and 4th amendments secure
Executive orders wiped out
Wall built, drugs stopped, human trafficking stopped
MS13 deported
ISIS hunted down and killed wherever they are
Illegals in our prisons deported
Mosques monitored
Radical Islam in America routed out
Merry Christmas back
Johnson Amendment repealed
Religious Liberty protected
Law and Order restored
BLM faced down
Common Core gone
Liberal Indoctrination faced down
Chinese and Japanese trade deals renegotiated
Democrat and media cabal thoroughly exposed
No more bowing to dictators
No more money to other countries that can pay their own way

Improved relations with all US allies

Flint is more than that. It's symbolic of the tough shape US infrastructure is in. This seems to be an excellent idea to show that Trump who builds things has the correct priorities and knows how to get things done.
Fixing the water in Flint sounds like it would help make America Great Again.
The Dems had it, ruined it. Let’s fix it and offer it up as a symbol of everything that is to come.
Let’s move away from the idea that the POTUS needs to inject himself into every problem like Obama does...
It’s a state problem, they can clean up their own messes...on their dime...
Letting Michigan fix Flint would be
symbolic of a return to state’s rights
and responsibilities.
The best thing Trump will do for Flint and MI as a whole is trashing NAFTA, TPP, TISA, etc.
I’d be very surprised if Ford is not on Trump’s shitlist.
He can start by holding the dems who caused this criminally liable.

A case for helping Flint...you help your friends and punish your enemies. Flint may or may not have voted for Trump (I have no idea), but Michigan as a whole flipped to Trump. Better there than some town in New York or California. (my apologies to Freepers behind the lines)
It’s probably not worthwhile to micro-target problems because a) he’ll never get recognized for it by the press but also b) we want to help everyone. He has the bully pulpit now, is the best branding/advertising president that we’ever had and can speak through the press propaganda.
In short, let’s just implement conservatism coast-to-coast and let him and the results do the talking.

Move that one to the top of the list. GOD is our DEFENSE in restoring America. Without Him we can do nothing at all.
“Shovel Ready!” And now we have a President who actually knows which side of a shovel is up!
Also, I’d be more inclined to have Trump speak to ways his policies are going to help black America (as well as others). When people see results and associate them with his message, we’ll have him around for 8 years.
You are missing the point of symbolic pr opportunity that serves a much, much larger purpose.
You are focusing on the small point...I am focusing on the big picture that would serve to neutralize MUCH of the hostility spewing out
