In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of Word for the Day.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
Please EXPATIATE as much as you want........................
While limericks are great
They do not always satiate
They are too light
I need to write
And just go on and expatiate
A long-winded guy soon to move to another country has a cough.
He is looking for expected expatriate expatiate expectorant.
If Tom Brady retires and becomes a talk show host, will he be an ExPatiate?......................
He’ll probably pass on that...’cause he never runs.
LOL!....It might be a running back play!.................
Just remember, you can’t spell “expatriate” without “expatiate.”
Instead of a limerick, I will expatiate:
After an extremely bitter divorce, the wife of a hedge fund mogul went to his house to pick up their kids after their weekend with dad. While waiting for them in the living room, she noticed his brand-new quarterly bonus check, a seven-figure amount of which she would not get a share, since it was earned post-divorce. In a fit of rage, she shoved the check into her mouth and proceeded to consume it.
When her friends heard about what had happened, the gossip mill started going full-bore. The opening phrase was usually: Did you hear about the ex pay she ate?
A++!
I LOVE PUNS!
EVEN BAD ONES!...........................
The expatriate expatiated on his expiation.
The effete and loquacious expatriate,
Was called upon to expatiate.
“We should have open borders!”
(He is just following orders,
And, his white privilege, trying to expiate.)
A++!......................
A+!...................
I am expatiating on the meaning of these words as expiation for my occasional harshness in pointing out the misuse of words by other FReepers.
Regards,
Expeditiously!
When Trump gets irate,
no need to expatiate.
One-forty will do!
A+!....................
A+..................
And he wants it expeditiously!
