FULL TITLE: Its nasty, its disgusting to me: Angry woman abuses military veteran after he brought his PTSD dog inside restaurant
Shocking footage captures the moment a woman rages at a military veteran after he brought his PTSD dog inside restaurant.
Workers and diners queued up to defend the serviceman who remained silent during the unpleasant verbal onslaught.
Holding the lead, the veteran stands near his dog, which appears to be a Great Dane mix with an official military coat wrapped around its body. The animals help victims of serious injury or accident feel safe during potentially difficult social situations.

If her ex was really a military man, should would know better than to provoke a PTSD vet.
They appear controlled, but nervous all the way up to the point they snap.
Then God help you.
Looks like a case of rabies. I would keep the healthy dog away from here just in case.
What a failure of a human being.
My first thought was that it was a muslim. However, her attire was not "halal", so I doubt it. I can't imagine what would set someone off like that unless the dog had bitten her.
I watch a show on Animal Planet called "Rescue Dog to Super Dog" that tells stories about rescue dogs that are matched with someone with a handicap; and how the dog is then trained to help the handicapped person with something they cannot do. Often the people are physically handicapped and the dog helps them do a physical task. Once I saw one about a vet with PTSD. All the guy did was lay around feeling depressed. His service dog was trained to notice when he was feeling depressed and to run and bring him his leash so they could go for a walk together. The vet was really a much more vibrant and happy guy after weeks of working with the dog. The service dogs may be providing support in ways we cannot see when we see a person and his/her dog in public.
She is obviously in need of a service animal herself to help her maintain some calm.
Had a neighbor who was a Viet Nam vet and the older he got, the worse he got as far as PTSD. He finally got his dog declared a service dog and I firmly believe that saved quite a few lives. Al was a survivor of the hill fight in VN, a Silver Star recipient and a Marine. He wouldn’t have minded at all taking out half the world but wouldn’t dream of putting his dog in jeopardy.
She is right the restaurant has no business letting a bitch in the establishment. The dog can stay.
I'm a 70 year old woman, and would have kicked her a$$. I had to use physical force on male convicts numerous times over my 25 year career in corrections. It might take me a little longer these days, but I wouldn't hesitate to do it to protect an innocent person.
I dont see anyone here saying that dogs and people are equal,
Not long ago whites would rather have a dog in their house than a Navajo, yet a Navajo was civilized enough to know that a dog belonged out side.
It really just depends on which side a person has got sick of.
You most obviously do not understand that service dogs are not limited to being guide dogs for the blind and that such dogs are not classified as emotional support animals. PTSD is a recognized disability and a dog can be trained to assist those who suffer from it and mitigate their disability.
Don’t worry Drew, if you’re ever disabled, we’ll make sure we get you a pet rock instead.
Folks with PTSD are in a constant state of “fight or flight”...
Noisy places with lots of people are very hard. Noisy place with lots of people who can approach you from behind are intolerable.
Thus the service dog to watch your six. Any dog will do.
It’s their eyes and ears that are of service. It could be a 9lb Chihuahua.
Would I be wrong to guess Florida?
You should see my Service Ostrich.
See my post #90.
Count your blessings you are not afflicted with PTSD.
It isn't mentioned where the restaurant is but the article quotes the Americans With Disabilities Act. Plus the crazy lady has an American accent.
Not sure why, but I assumed because it was in a Brit paper .. but they do more US coverage than our own papers. Alas, she remains an angry, wretched person regardless of origin.
Geeze...where do you guys live,San Francisco?? ;-)
she's not offended....she's just looking to start trouble and for someone to take a swing at her...
Yes,dogs go in most places where humans go in Europe. Should this always be the case? I have been to two major hotels recently where pets are allowed. Yes,it barked any time a door opened or shut.
Emotional support animals are not classified as service animals under the ADA.
