Richard Paulson, president of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, said eight children had already been born to women after transplants.
And he told a meeting in San Antonio, Texas: Theres plenty of room to put a uterus in there. Men and women have the same blood vessels.
He said the next step would to be trials involving transgender women to help them become natural mothers.
Such ops are not allowed in the UK. However, medical ethics lawyer Dr Amel Alghrani joined calls this year for the NHS to consider them.
Last night critics said transgender women may want to think of safer options first such as using a surrogate. Julian Savulescu, professor of practical ethics at Oxford University, said the safety of the baby should be the priority.
He added: It it is hard to justify from the perspective of using NHS health resources, or from the childs own perspective.
Docs hope to perform the first UK womb transplant in 2018.
In 2014 a Swede gave birth after receiving a uterus from a living donor.
They would have to give birth via a section, if all they were given is a womb.
Sorry, didn’t see this was already posted (I tried search, so apparently I didn’t use it correctly).
He said the next step would to be trials involving transgender women to help them become natural mothers. No, there is nothing natural about such a thing at all. This is Frankenstein science. That womb had to grow inside a real woman with XX chromosomes. Even with altering the shape of the hips to allow a baby to pass through, there is no way to artificially construct a vagina that can expand like that of a real woman. Never mind not producing the kind of hormones that would even permit a baby to grow inside a mutilated man with XY chromosomes; they just cannot be injected with the expectation of things to go well.
This won’t end well, and that’s all I’m going to say.
Someone that mentally ill shouldn’t be breeding.
But liberals won’t call gender dysphoria a mental illness because it fits to many checkboxes they wish were true, like there being no real difference between men and women and what you feel is the ultimate determination of reality.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve already tried this and failed repeatedly. I can’t imagine how many babies they’ve killed in the process in the early stages.
Anti-God insanity.
Even worse, someone that gets so mutilated will then attempt to conceive “naturally”, trying to achieve pregnancy via “vaginal sex”.
I take back saying “Frankenstein medicine”, because somehow I suspect even Victor Frankenstein would become ill at the notion.
Where does the egg come from?
The scary thing is that Obama’s mother was named Stan.
Well, I said “Frankenstein science”, but same difference.
This is Frankenstein science.
Yep. Womb in a man seems crazy now but so did gender dysphoria being celebrated a couple decades ago.
The latter still seems crazy to me. Perhaps because it is.
Then again, the slippery slope started way back with Karl-Maria Kertbeny inventing the terms “homosexual” and “heterosexual”, and the notion that such behavior is a “mental illness” rather than sinful obsession.
LOL
I figured if they tried it at all, they would have done a transplant of a womb into a man, pumped him full of hormones, implanted an embryo from a lab and then failed repeatedly. Just because it’s impossible, it isn’t going to stop these freaks from trying.
Can’t possibly be good for the child. There would probably be hormone problems. How many children will get messed up by it? Frankenstein’s goal was more noble.
It’s my guess that we are about 20 years away from being able to create functional wombs, vaginas, penises...etc..from the bodies own tissue.
We inch ever closer to the ability of automation to work quickly at the cellular level.
But just because you can do something does not make it a good idea. :-/
The research dollars would be better spent creating new limbs and complete new faces.
I doubt it would work. There is more to growing a baby than having a womb.
