Question: How can you quote sources that won't let me cut and paste?

I’ve found that SCREEN CAPTURE works on FB and Twitter and a few other places.

Then UPLOAD the Captured Pic to My Hosting Site and put it on FR using the Captured Pic as an img src with HTML.

Can be done with iPhone by holding the POWER BUTTON and then pressing the HOME BUTTON at the same time.

On a MS Computer Press and Hold CTRL+ALT+PRINT SCREEN then Open PAINT OR any other Image Program, Past it to a New Blank File, Save and Upload to Pic Hosting Site then use the img src HTML.

If you left click on a paragraph on something on the net, or sentence. Whatever. It highlights the whole thing in blue. Swipe across this with your finger on the left side of the mouse, then let go and use the right side of the mouse and it will come up a little menu. Select ‘copy’. Then go to where you want to ‘drop in’ the paragraph and hit ‘paste’.

It will drop in your selected paragraph.

Okay, that link is kind of old and may not apply in all cases. Here's what a Google search turned up when I restricted it to recent hits. You can even find addons that will do the job for you. Also check YouTube for other solutions. Good luck!

Right click on the text, then select view source. You’ll get an html versionof the page that can be copied.

I can “Copy & Paste” fine from Breitbart...I am using the Safari browser on a Mac tho...let me check the Chrome browser...yep, works fine on the Chrome browser too. Must be a M$ problem? Edge?

Edge is an AWFUL browser - if on W10 change to IE as a default.

I can copy and paste on my Mac with Safari and IE11.

Many sites have videos running. I’ve found that sometimes that interferes with copying the text and when you shut the videos down you can copy.

lots of times ctrl-c to copy followed by ctrl-v to paste will work when when selecting via mouse and copying via right-clicking is blocked ... besides, i’m not having trouble cutting and pasting the regular way on brietbart, so might be a browser setting causing trouble ...
