Spock and McCoy together again in a new sitcom.

I loved that show!
A Frozen Moment in Comedy TV History.
There won’t be another like them.
For one thing, audiences change the definition of ‘funny’ all the time.

Lot of great people came out of SCTV: John Candy, Catherine O'Hare, Eugene Levy come to mind immediately.
Great show!

A Frozen Moment in Comedy TV History. The Schmenge Bros tribute to New Wave had me literally on the floor in tears.

"For one thing, audiences change the definition of funny all the time." This ^. The comedy and satire that I enjoyed in my youth just does not translate well today. Though I still enjoy and can relate to Steve Allen, May and Nichols, TW3 and Python, my offspring just do not get it.

Some major channel should run SCTV opposite SNL, now.

Don’t forget Andrea Martin (Perini Scleroso) and Joe Flaherty (Guy Caballero and Count Floyd). Wasn’t it Dave Thomas who did Perry Como? I remember his “Still Alive” concert in which he sang laying down on a sofa, the mic propped on a pillow near his mouth.

Most memorable for me was Eugene Levy as Perry Como, singing so relaxed as to be torpid.

Eugene Levy as Perry Como Yes! Awesome.
And who could forget Martin Short and John Cougar's Nutty Professor riff.
