Before I begin, please allow me at this time to apologize to any potential future advocates, for past disparaging remarks I may have made regarding the legal profession.
To begin with I was kicked out of the Twitter community today and I feel I have been injured, hurt, and stigmatized. This is the direct result of Twitter's overbearing fascist control of a platform that was built upon "Free Speech".
From a psychological perspective any behavior is potentially addictive and online services; ie IRChats, BBS,games etc, have historically proven to be as addictive as any other substance or activity. I FEEL I was inadequately warned regarding the dangers of participation.
I feel that Twitter should have a large banner warning at the opening of the app and mixed through out the program, warning of the harm and danger associated with social media platforms like Twitter. I would also seek funding to do a study into the potential liability of such platforms regarding suicides.
I mean like who knows, with 7,800 deaths every day in America for all reasons, can you be certain some of them were not due to social media rejections of all kinds.....?
Well there you have it my friends, Twitter gets us hooked than cast us aside when we piss off their friends....and it hurts, a 7 digit hurt. a loss in potential revenue so bad it really hurts.
Potential suitors please respond to this post
Were you earning 7 digits from Twitter? How?
Your post seems to imply that.
As for your addiction... if you’re not joking, there are substances for that.
I can understand them kicking off people who don't know the difference between "then" and "than".
Who wouldn't kick off people like that?
I am an uneducated white gullible deplorable and my advice is to not waste time with Twitter Facebook and all the other stupid stuff out there.
People must agree to their EULA and Terms of Service in order to use Twitter, so they effectively have you over a legal barrel before you even start.
I personally believe the Congress needs to pass laws banning anyone from censoring a public forum larger than 1 million users.
Are you the guy that sued the RV manufacturer because the owner’s manual didn’t warn him not to set the cruise control and go make a cup of coffee?
Stop swimming in it.
As for "damages" ... unless you can prove loss of income, reputation, etc.. fuggghhheeetttaaabbbouuuutttt it. Not an ice cubes chance in hell.
Or is he the 72 year old woman who placed a cup of hot, McDonald's coffee between her legs at the drive through, then drove off and sued for burning her 72 year old crotch?
You may need a humor coach more than a lawyer.
Nobody causes my addictions
I am my own worse enemy, and so are you
Twitter is a private company
It is their Circus, their Monkeys
I/You can be banned from this site, for any reason
Many have, Ive come close before
Getting Lawyers involved just complicates things
I would second that motion.
I have now started calling Facebook, Twitter, etc as “anti-Social Media” The stuff is addictive and hateful. We had 2 HS kids at the same school commit suicide due to anti-social media bullying.
I see no reason to be on these platforms. No one cares what I have to say of what I had for lunch. The only good use is for Grandparents to see grand kid pictures, or if I had a band, would be a great platform for a fan club, here is where we are playing etc.
You aint got a case
How does anyone get addicted to Twitter?
Your level of butt-hurtedness has not reached the “Pay a lawyer” level yet. You were using their platform for your purposes and doing it for free. You don’t have grounds for restitution.
These aren’t the “helpful” droids you are looking for.
Regarding your Addiction:
Just stick with Drugs and Alcohol like the rest of America.
You lost 7 fingers?.....................Sue the bastards!..............
Hello, you guessed it is more tongue & cheek with a tad over serious under-tone.
However I also prefaced it with the word “potential” since there are many that have launched careers from Twitter.
I agree. I think there policy is correct. Their within they’re rights.
