In my opinion, Trump’s obvious narcissism is a prominent thread within the complex skein of his remarkable ego strength and type A personality. A strong ego is not egotistical in the common-sense usage of the expression “big ego,” but indicates accurate intuition, street-smart intelligence, and judgement. Strong enough to withstand the attacks of bitter Democrats who never thought Trump would win the presidency. Strong enough to take on “the swamp” of Washington politics, politically correct liberal university professor enemies, and a massively anti-Trump and vicious liberal American press. I’m not sure that this doctor has a good notion of “belief in a vision.” That isn’t the same as self adoration, and can in fact differ starkly from it. Belief in a vision has a transformational power, while self adoration keeps one where one is. Most notably, Donald, who was never before known for caring about his upbringing religion of mainline Presbyterian Christianity, is now sold on Christianity’s essential value in the American context. He and Melania have become faithful to one another, with no playboy or playgirl activity in sight.
Some people just use the term “narcissism” to mean “I don’t like what you believe in, so I am going to call it something denigrating.”

The fact that DJT likes attention could, possibly, confirm that the man has a big ego...which, in light of his having turned a $1 million loan in 1968 into a multi-billion dollar fortune before inheriting money from his father, is not entirely unjustified.
However, this guy has not considered - at all - the fact that perhaps as a businessman DJT wants to have as much attention on himself and his projects as possible, under the theory that there is no bad publicity. IOW, he has purposely adopted this persona (in public - I’ve heard and seen others who know him say that he is different in private) for business advantage. Psychologists and doctors tend not to think in those terms.
Go do research including every single driver of racing cars of all stripes in this country.
