Implementing Occam's Razor:
The so-called logic behind keeping and maintaining sanctuary city designations, in defiance of what Trump has been calling for - and his suppport for what Governor Ron Desantis (R) did in signing the bill banning sanctuary cities in the state of Florida - is that sanctuary cities allow law-abiding illegal aliens to report crime(s) committed by non law-abiding illegal aliens with out fear of reprisal.
Problem is, illegal aliens (even if they somehow do commit less crimes on average than U.S. citizens do and the jury may be out on that on many crimes) still lead to an increase in the number of those crimes themselves, regardless of what the crime(s) might be. For instance, if American citizens commit crime x at a y percentage of the total population of American citizens, and illegal aliens commit crime x at a y percentage of the total population of illegal aliens, and it is at even half the percentage, there will still be an increase of crime x being committed and thus the total numbers overall of crime x being committed will increase. IOW, the total population of illegal aliens may commit rapes at half the percentage in comparison to the total population of American citizens, but there will still be an increase in the number of rapes. Lastly, for advocates of illegal immigration, raising the issue that illegal aliens somehow commit less crimes is in and of itself a non-sequitur.
Finally, with more and more illegal aliens pouring into the U.S. daily, a percentage of them will commit acts of illegality, and thus a need for more and more illegal aliens said to commit no crimes to report their crimes. Ergo, the need for more and more sanctuary cities; Ergo Sum, a cycle of this having no end in sight.
If you don’t accept reports of crimes, they never happened.
BTW, Joe Biden, as we all may know by now, does support health care for illegal aliens thus, by implication, he would support sanctuary city designations.
And he has already (four times now over the years) called for cutting Social Security and Medicare benefits for American citizens.
I imagine the money for health care for illegals will have to come from somewhere...

So, illegals tend to stay within the illegal community. They may be cutting grass or painting houses by day, but when the work day ends, they go back to the trailer park or neighborhood they destroyed. Now, after they slam a 12-pack or more of Budweiser and the perpetrate a crime on some unsuspecting female, who is also illegal, what are the chances that she is going to call the police? Is she going to call the police for fear that they may determine her immigration status and she’ll possibly be deported? She ain’t calling.
And having worked a Sex Crimes unit, one thing I NEVER hear about is how pervasive sexual assaults against minors there are in the hispanic, illegal alien community. It is rampant. But, of course, like afghani’s and their affinity for young boys, you really won’t hear many talk about it or admit it.

There is a false premise built into this. The police have no obligation or reason to question a victims immigration status it has no baring on the crime they are investigating.
Using this as an excuse not to enforce the law is one big LIE.
That's the way you and I think but libs find a way to express it more conveniently: "If one adds the population of the community that has largely unreported crime to the larger population then sanctuary cities have less crime."
The libs no doubt also have an esoteric equation that shows the sanctuary city posture attracts federal funds and thus provides an overall reduction of the tax obligation of local tax payers
There is no false premise built into anything. I’ve dealt with, firsthand. One of the things that Sheriff Joe was sued for was his deputies questioning the immigration status of the people they encountered, wasn’t it? However, that isn’t my point.
The woman/victim/mother of the victim, has no idea what they cops are going to ask her. There is an innate fear for most of these people as the cops in their own countries are as corrupt as they come. They live in fear that they will be deported. Whether the cops do or don’t inquire about their status is irrelevant, it’s something they fear, regardless.
Who said anything about not enforcing the law? I certainly did not. I said that they’re more than likely not calling the police. However, if you’d like to visit the Crimes Against Children Unit in say, Cobb County, Georgia, you’ll probably find an inordinate amount of reports involving hispanic males. Pretty much all of them in the US illegally. And that is just the ones they know about.
Sanctuary Cities also routinely under report crimes by apparent illegals. For instance, in Indianapolis, I’ve had relatives tell me no citations are issued for illegals when they cause an accident or break other moving laws.
Also, it can’t be known how many are using someone else’s identification. Any use of that is a separate crime, every time.
Any arrest in which they are let out on their own recognizance also means they will likely skip out and just jot appear, probably to head to another sanctuary city to start the cycle over.
Cities routinely reclassify crimes as misdemeanors, with even Dallas allowing crimes up to $750 to not be registered or investigated.
When you reclassify crimes as “legal,” of course your crime rates go down.
- If they commit one crime ... it is one crime too many. It is a crime that should never happen.
- The “Crime” rate would only be lower in sanctuary cities if (as is often the case) the illegal alien is not arrested because it is a waist of time for the police officer, or not convicted because they are let go by a liberal judge who “sympathizes” with the criminal alien.
- Statistics can be made to draw any conclusion the Statistician wants.
