There’s no reason to maintain a diplomatic presence in a country whose government is either unwilling or unable to keep hordes of mutants from storming our embassy.

Shiite majority because of Obama insisting that the Shiite minority hold majority of the representation.

Fine. Time to let George Bush Junior’s experiment in idiocy come to an end.

QUESTION:
Did the Iraqi Parliament say "get out" or "we want you out"? There is a difference.
Saying "we want you out" without saying "get out" would be a political move to appease Iranian elements in Iraq, without taking action. If that is the case, then despite all the political posturing, U.S. forces stay. Then over a few months, the pro-Iraq and pro-U.S. elements can get their act together.
In real life, politics happen, and surface appearances are not what is really going on.

Apparently, we have last American out of any Embassy switches that will do exactly what this meme shows! The switches can be turned on to finish the Embassy by hand or remote.

Theres no reason to maintain a diplomatic presence in a country whose government is either unwilling or unable to keep hordes of mutants from storming our embassy. In most countries, the host is not responsible for security at our embassy.

The host is responsible for security outside the embassy compound. A horde of mutants storming the walls of a diplomatic compound is absolutely a violation of the host country's responsibilities under international law.
That's why you don't see this sort of sh!t in civilized countries.

No problem. We still need a couple thousand to maintain the embassy and any consulates.

Level and leave could be a good U.S. policy.

Not if its bulldozed. We would never leave that building intact.
Knock it down and salt the earth.

Level and leave could be a good U.S. policy. Yep.
To: GideonOfWarTurkey denied us entry into Northern Iraq during the initial invasion to root out terrorist/al-qaeda from our SOF teams. Its time for a little payback.I've been saying for some time that we should have flattened Iraq's and Afghanistan's infrastructure, killed their leaders, divided the countries along ethinic lines, set the ethnic groups at each other's throats, and walked away.
The take home message is: You F with us, we will track you, personally, down and kill your sorry arse, we will destroy everything you hold dear, and your country will simply cease to exist.
The bonus in this case is Turkey, who wouldn't help us, is rewarded with a newly minted Kurdistan on their border. That Iran also has to deal with a Kurdish homeland on their border is a bonus...

"Level and leave" is a much more concise statement.

The vote poses a pivotal test to an American troop presence that has been instrumental in the defeat of Islamic State, even as powerful Iranian-backed factions have come to dominate the Iraqi government. One of those militias, Kataib Hezbollah, threatened lawmakers who failed to show up at the session or vote in favor of a law to evict U.S. forces, branding them traitors.
