Where can one pursue an Afro-Engineering degree?

30+ years ago one of our sons was graduated from a good engineering school with 2 engineering specialities.
The company which had offered him a job and had used him as an intern went broke about the day he was graduated.
We made up a resume and got it to people we knew, and within a week or so he started getting calls to come in for an interview. He did and got a great job offer after his first engineer interview. A family friend showed his resume to a customer. That resulted in the interview and job offer.
Basically, everyone he sent a resume to wanted to interview, him and a couple of companies followed up with offers in case he wanted to change jobs.
During that time, we were going through a bad economy. People were being fired/laid off. Most grads that year couldn’t get an interview.
A friend with a daughter, who had graduated with a liberal BS degree asked our son, why he got a job and his smart daughter couldn’t get an interview.
Our son used a term we had not heard. He told our friend that the people with worthless bs degrees were going for masters the same as their bs because no one wanted to hire them with a worthless degree.
He called those degrees IUDs, Instant Unemployment Degrees.
Unless their family owned a company, no one wanted to hire them. Then, they often made it even more worthless by going for a masters IUD or doctors IUD degree.
3+ years later, those degrees are still worthless and more expensive to get, Like women’s studies for African American Women.
