No weight gain issues were found with any amount of nuts consumed across the 121 studies compiled and reviewed.
For lower carb people, you are already likely eating more almonds, due to its use as a substitute for wheat.

I go through pecans like crazy in low carb. 1 gram net carbs per ounce. Walnuts are similar

So I can eat 2000 calories worth of nuts and it’s like I ate nothing? I am SO destroying me some pecans!

It is not what you eat, it is HOW MUCH YOU EAT.
But heavy proportions of carbs does higher ups and downs in blood sugar, making you hungry sooner.
If you want to lose weight, eat more bacon and lard and less white bread, potatoes and rice.

Fat does not make you fat.
It takes almost as much energy to catabolize fat as you get out of it.
Sugars, on the other hand, yield multiple times more energy than it takes to catabolize them.
Low-fat diets are a dangerous superstition because fats are the building blocks of hormones and can lead to serious hormone deficiencies, especially in the young.

I've done that. (a whole can Planter's Deluxe Mixed Nuts) No weight gain, and that's despite the inclusion of cashews, which have more carbs.

I don’t think peanuts are included in the nut category.

I buy pecan ice cream...and add a handful of pecans...and if you buy waffle cones...you can wind up real happy.

Cool. I’ll have the chocolate covered peanut M&Ms.

Some nuts are 50% or more fat.
