For lower carb people, you are already likely eating more almonds, due to its use as a substitute for wheat.

So I can eat 2000 calories worth of nuts and it’s like I ate nothing? I am SO destroying me some pecans!

It is not what you eat, it is HOW MUCH YOU EAT.
But heavy proportions of carbs does higher ups and downs in blood sugar, making you hungry sooner.
If you want to lose weight, eat more bacon and lard and less white bread, potatoes and rice.

Fat does not make you fat.
It takes almost as much energy to catabolize fat as you get out of it.
Sugars, on the other hand, yield multiple times more energy than it takes to catabolize them.
Low-fat diets are a dangerous superstition because fats are the building blocks of hormones and can lead to serious hormone deficiencies, especially in the young.

Although nuts are high fat, it’s the good fat and helps lower cholesterol.

It’s not a great secret. When we eat whole nuts, most of the nut passes through undigested. Not the same for processed nut butters.
