One of my kids sent me this video. It purports that there are many (dozens? hundreds?) of historical accounts/reports of giants, tribes or giants, encounters with giants, etc.
The video seems to be well made and plausible. However, I remain skeptical. Supposedly many of the giant skeletal remains made their way to the Smithsonian. There are plenty of snopes articles debunking stories of this sort, but who knows what to believe from snopes?
Like any other topic of this sort their are supporters & detractors. The trick of course is sorting through the BS.
Before I dig further into this, I'm curious if any skeptical Freepers have gone down this particular rabbit hole...

Yes! Go to the Ancient Faith website and listen to the Lord of Spirits podcast. There is an entire three hour episode devoted entirely to giants in the Bible. The other episodes and awe-inspiring as well. Cannot recommend more highly.
I knew the great grandaughter of Ralph Glidden who used to be the caretaker of Catalina Island back when William Wrigley owned it. He found several skeletons that averaged between 8-11 feet tall on that island. There are pictures of Ralph Glidden posing with these giant skeletons. In fact, the Catalina Island Conservancy was caught editing many of those pictures by removing the skeletons.
Plus, Native Americans in the Channel Islands area have legends of fighting off giants. There are too many legends from all over the World for this not to be true.
There are many newspaper articles from the 19th and early 20th centuries about the discovery of giant skeletons. It seems they disappear when the Smithsonian folks show up.
They have been debunked Fantastically in several documentaries.
I’m kinda lazy but I will try and find them if I can.
There were no giants.

I hear there was a Green Giant who used to advertise vegetables on TV.
My brother goes on and on about the Tartarians, some extinct giant humanoid society erased from history. I barely listen to it but I recall this much.
Also, Steve Quayle’s site has a lot, a lot, on alleged giants.
And the Bible of course.
Adam and Eve were undoubtedly "giants' according to our diminutive size. Ever since the Fall in the Garden of Eden, mankind has devolved instead of evolved. We are weaker, smaller and more susceptible to disease.
Giant is simply a relative term. it is impossible to get any definitive and accurate details of the Nephilim. Much speculation as to origin and disappearance of such are all over the board.
Not trying to be sarcastic but I’m sure I will get some sparky comments from what I’m about to post.
Ancient Aliens covered this a good deal. They opined that most of the skeletons of the “giants” have been confiscated and hidden because it doesn’t fit neatly into the “mainstream science” of evolution.
Among other more “out there” theories.

Years ago I had a book WORD KEYS THAT UNLOCK SCRIPTURE by Duane Edward Spencer in which he said the Nephilim were simply men of stature (not real giants) who were fierce warriors and were considered “demigods” by their tribes.
I would imagine King Saul would rate as one of these as he stood head and shoulders above the other Israelites.
