Yes, destroying the reputation of the Hollywood elite made the perfect “publicity stunt”. It is hard to say what the motivation was since it further eroded all of their credibility and influence and made the entire group look like the vapid bunch of idiots that they are. I am just not smart as you and able to figure that one out. Someday, I do hope to reach your level of enlightenment.

The same way the Hindenburg ushered in a new age of luxury airship travel. If you are trying to sell tickets to the circus all publicity is good publicity. If you are trying to influence the masses using the moral high ground which is everything Hollywood is about these days, then no exposing what a bunch of morons the actors actually are... is a “pay no attention to the man behind the curtain” moment.
It is incredible to me that people here cannot tell the difference between a publicity stunt and a complete failure. There is so much outrageous crap going on these days that the majority seems to have become tone deaf to larger implications. Unfortunately, the powers that be are currently trying to write this off as a “publicity stunt” to limit the damage and you and others are picking up on that and repeating it. That is turning this into a missed opportunity. Instead of celebrating the damage to credibility this incident should illicit, most drones will interpret this exactly the way they are told to interpret its meaning.
I do not disagree with that.
