The daughter of Bill and Melinda French Gates is trading East Harlem for Tribeca.
A Seattle-based trust tied to Jennifer Gates paid $51 million for a penthouse at Metro Loft Management’s 443 Greenwich Street last month, the New York Post reported. Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton owned the unit before selling to a Seattle-based LLC in 2021 for $49.5 million.
The six-bedroom condo includes a 3,200-square-foot terrace and a private elevator operating across the unit’s three levels. The 8,900-square-foot unit carries more than $18,000 in monthly common charges, according to the listing at the time of Hamilton’s sale.
The penthouse has six bedrooms, six bathrooms, two powder rooms and two of the building’s 15 parking spaces. There’s also outdoor seating, a plunge pool and a gas fireplace in the living room.

I worked with a guy who became an executive assistant to a VP at a large brokerage firm in the midwest. She had the use of the company jet to fly home to NY most weekends. She owned the apartment John Lennon owned when he was with the Beatles (not the Dakota). She bought the one next door and turned it into one condo. One weekend we were going to get together but he had to work because she stayed in town because a crew was filming a John Lennon special and she had given them access to the apartment. Always wondered what something like one apartment cost but to buy two and combine? Can’t imagine.

So many people who shout about Global Cooling, Global Warming, Climate Change, Climate Crisis own compounds RIGHT ON THE OCEAN. They know that, in reality, the next Ice Age is coming, and the oceans will do the opposite of rise.

Bill Gates has said she will have to make her own way, that she will only end up with a miniscule portion of his estate. Since he’s worth over $100 billion dollars, I’m guessing a few billion would count as ‘miniscule’ percentage wise.
Actually, I think she has just graduated medical school, so she probably can make her own way. Nice to have dad give you $50 million here and there though.

I hate Bill Gate’s politics. I do not know of his daughters politics but it is of no importance. It is their money and they should spend it as they desire, as should the rest of us.
