Any article that says .......here’s how, I automatically think click bait, or another tiresome list that is either common sense, or complete nonesense.

Nitrites and nitrates are a big problem. I had to cut them out

Sprouted grain and ancient grain breads, cauliflower rounds, nitrate- and nitrite-free meats - all sorts of good options out there.

Meanwhile the government inks a lucrative deal with Kraft-Heinz to provide school kids with Lunchables, a sodium rich, nutrition poor borderline snack-food for lunch.

Daves Bread is delicious and has all natural stuff. Wonder Bread and any white bread is the devil. We make awesome blackened salmon with arugula and tzatziki sauce on Sourdough which is also acceptable bread.

Deli meats of any kind are bad. Processed and full of chemicals. I’ve cut all these things but one thing I refuse to give up is my Dukes Mayo. Never

The same people who want to inject us with experimental “vaccines” are worried about our health because we eat sandwiches.

Skip the processed meats. Get some thin sliced ham and turkey from the deli counter.

Please…

The bigger threat of any sandwich from a health perspective is the bread.. period.

Sandwiches are the number one source of sodium and saturated fat in Americans’ diets, making up about one-fifth of our daily sodium intake and 19% of our daily saturated fat calories, according to an analysis of federal survey data. Sandwiches contribute 7% of daily added sugars, the same percentage as breakfast cereals and bars.

The implication of this statement is that any sandwich is bad for you, as if a bacon double cheeseburger is nutritionally the same as a tofu-and-sprouts-on-28-grain-bread sandwich. Absurd.

I know which I'd rather have, heart bomb be damned.

A Big Mac ingredients include all the food groups.

Ditto a Wendy’s single with cheese

“Americans eat so much of their meals not sitting down at a table. They are eating in their cars or at their desks, so sandwiches are easy,” says Erica Kenney, assistant professor of public-health nutrition at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Hey, Erica, shut up and make me a sammich.

I had a sandwich for lunch yesterday, a fish sandwich. Pretty darn good from Arby’s.

The government is FOS. Everything they say should be met with skepticism. There’s nothing wrong with eating a sandwich once or twice a week. The problem America has is eating 5 a week plus McDonalds, Wendy’s and Burger King on weekends. Plus, American moms think they are so overworked that many can’t be bothered to put a decent meal on the table for their families a few times a week.

Eat keto.

Of course, you have to kiss the bread buh-bye.

When you lose water on keto, you lose salt. And meat (without added chemicals) and cheese are fine in great quantities.

Keto may not be right for some people, but I guess you have to try it to find out (since doctors can't tell you).

I eat high-fat, high sodium, relatively high protein and my blood pressure is low, my LDL cholesterol is low, and my weight is perfect (well, about 5 lbs higher than I would like at 165).

Today I am going to have a massive chicken breast covered in red salsa and topped with a mountain of sour cream. Broccoli smothered in cheese sauce. And a couple of huge hamburger patties covered in pimento cheese (with sugar-free ketchup and mustard on the side).

I would have an omelet but I can't afford the eggs without selling my truck.

BTW, bread, no matter nutritious, becomes sugar in the bloodstream.

Sugar: bad.

Bread made from “ancient grains” is no better. MRI’s of mummies show they had heart disease and diabetes.

Every food article is clickbait these days. And I agree that I never thought I’d see the day when The Wall Street Journal was clickbaiting with headlines about your sandwich being a “heart bomb.”
