COVID-19: New ‘Arcturus' Variant Causing Symptom Not Typically Seen

A new COVID-19 variant fueling a rise in cases is causing a new symptom that has not been associated with the virus during the three-plus years of the pandemic.

The so-called Arcturus strain — officially known as XBB.1.16 — is believed to be one of the most infectious versions of the Omicron variant to date.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) variant tracker, XBB.1.16 United States cases have doubled in the last week.

Itchy, red eyes not seen in earlier waves "are symptoms of the new Omicron variant," according to a brand-new report by the Mayo Clinic.

"One new feature of cases caused by this variant is that it seems to be causing conjunctivitis, or red and itchy eyes, in young patients," according to Dr. Matthew Binnicker, the Mayo Clinic's director of the Clinical Virology Laboratory. "This is not something that we've seen with prior strains of the virus."

Arcturus has a higher transmissibility rate than previous strains but doesn't appear to be more dangerous, the Mayo Clinic said in its report.

XBB.1.16 is causing increasing case counts in certain parts of the world, including India, and has been confirmed in 27 states, including New York, where it was first detected in January, as well as New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Maryland.

This continues to be a developing story.

What a coincidence - right at the height of allergy season. What are the odds ...?

I very definitely had conjunctivitis as one of the symptoms of an earlier strain. One eye had the classic bright redness and itchiness and the other eye was just itchy.

I recall the same symptoms. Not long after I had retinal tears. Not sure it was connected.

All of this ongoing COVID crap and still precious little coverage of effective therapeutics...only still pushing the damn jab.

This is the scamdemic what will never end.

Whatever you do, don’t take Ivermectin.

You’d be depriving Big Pharma of billions of dollars for another deadly vaccine.

“Whatever you do, don’t take Ivermectin.”

Really. Don’t even consider that ivermectin was invented specifically for an eye disease in India, river blindness. I know the diseases aren’t the same, but “it can’t hoit” to take ivermectin.

I bet China is concocting new strains to keep the worldwide focused on the virus rather than them.

Conjunctivitis was an adverse reaction for those who were vaccinated with the Covid-19 'vaccine'. The CDC's VAERS database (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System)  has records of adverse events for all vaccines for the past 30 years, althought it only captures about 1% of all events. But, as it stands now, Covid 'vaccines' account for 25% of all cases of conjunctivitis reported to the CDC. So even though the 'vaccine' has only been around for a short time, one out of every 4 cases in VAERS was reported after a Covid 'vaccine'.

https://medalerts.org/vaersdb/index.php

They just take adverse events from having had the Covid 'vaccine' and call it a new version of Covid because the suppression of immune system function often provides 'Covid-like' symptoms anyway.

It also causes people to smell the distinct odor of bovine feces ... even when they’re nowhere near a pasture.
