Bud Light's parent company sees revenue tumble 13.5% in the third quarter as fallout from Dylan Mulvaney controversy continues - with CEO saying company will now try to win customers back at college football and concerts

Bud Light continues to drag down sales for parent company Anheuser-Busch as the world's largest brewer reported a double-digit drop in US revenue last quarter.

Anheuser-Busch InBev reported Tuesday that revenue in the US fell by 13.5 percent between July-September. The figure was based on revenue per 100 liters, a common measure for beer sales.

Sales to US retailers were also down 17 percent, largely due to a drop in Bud Light demand, the company reported.

Bud Light has faced months of protests and consumer anger since its ill-fated partnership with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney in April. The company has seen Bud Light sales decline for months.

US retail dollar sales of Bud Light were down 29 percent in the four weeks ending October 21 compared to the same period a year ago, according to Nielsen data compiled by Bump Williams Consulting.

They are down nearly 19 percent for the year to date.

In August, Modelo Especial officially triumphed over Bud Light as America's best-selling beer and Bud Light volume dropped 26.7 percent.

AB InBev CEO Michel Doukeris said the company is focusing its US marketing on more traditional outlets, like college football and concerts following April's controversy.

The CEO said recent internal polling shows that 40 percent of lapsed Bud Light drinkers say they would consider returning to the brand.

They could issue an apology. Make it clear they have fired the idiot that approved this marketing. And promise to concentrate on selling beer and having fun. They may win some customers back then.
They are dead to me and a laughingstock to most people.

They should have issued an apology right after, or do something similar. Now they have become a national joke. Also need to do a housecleaning and fire all those woke idiots who got them here.

Best strategy is to cease production...go quiet for 6 months, and emerge with new board, new CEO, and new brand-name.

All I see these daze is AB shelf space @ 50%, with other beers/ales @ 25% and that White whatever stuff increasing daily into the last 25%.

Now I have to drive farther to get the real stuff.

Fortunately the dog is a good traveler and she still gets to be my cardio exerciser when we finally get to the National Forest trails....

Daily Life is still good, ‘Rats not withstanding.

I suspect "Dylan" won't be alive in 3 years. His inherent severe mental illness, combined with his grandiose fantasy world supported briefly by corporate America and politics, is going to crash hard. Sadly, I expect overdose or suicide will take him

I don’t think they can recover. They will have to accept being a top 20 beer and forget about being in the top 5.

>> They could issue an apology. &etc

In addition to all that, they could also brew BEER instead of the pigswill that they bottle.

They won’t, though. This is a company (actually a Belgian company at this point) that is sold on woke marketing, commonsense and product quality be damned.

May Budweiser go down in history as an example to others of what NOT!!! to do.

No apology and the boycott continues. They haven’t learned their lesson. Let’s see them lose 25-30% next year. I buy Yuengling or Millers Lite.

Bud Light's parent company sees revenue tumble 13.5% in the third quarter as fallout from Dylan Mulvaney controversy continues [...]

It doesn't really matter than, in particular, Dylan Mulvaney was involved; it could have literally been any transsexual.

And it isn't actually a controversy; consumers are simply fed up with this perverted narrative being pushed on them.

If a waitress brings me a fried rat instead of the medium-rare steak I ordered, there's no controversy. I am simply disgusted, and will never again patronize that restaurant.

By calling this the "Dylan Mulvaney controversy," the media are trying to distract from the fact that it has nothing to do with Mulvaney as an individual, and attempting to mask that it is not, in fact, a controversy at all.

Regards,

I was recently playing in a golf tournament. The beer carts were everywhere and the Bud Light was virtually untouched. Coors and Miller Lite ruled

It wasn’t the Dylan issue that drove this as much as the dismissive attitude towards their customer base. Rather than build on the base they made it clear that they wanted to get rid of the “frat boy” image. Insult your customers and they’ll leave and not come back.

I worked at an AAA baseball park over the past season as a concessions manager we had robust sales of BL, but our sales of BL dropped over 90%. We stopped ordering it before the halfway point of the season.

How much BL did the UFC sell over their last week’s event?

They need to run infomercials and show us how they fired all the rot and cut ties with the commercial producers. They need to show us not a dime is spent on LGBT donations too.

We loved the dog and pony show before, but the faggotery was just elites pushing their asinine lifestyle.

Aligning themselves with College Football, any football, or any sports for that matter will win back their base. Quite easily. Free Republic will be hardcore Bud Light drinkers again with this move, as this place is hopelessly addicted to sports. Go team go!
