Good research, Liz. Note how well the low flush toilets are doing and how popular the new light bulbs are.
Government crosses the line when it tries to override consumer choice (and common sense) for the sake of their lobbyist’s benefit. We live over a real sea of oil and natural gas that God provided for our use on this planet that withstands far more environmental impacts from volcanoes and wildfires than what man has generated.
Nuclear warfare being the exception and that’s totally unacceptable. They dither about impeachment for this tool in the Oval for lesser things but literally pushing the Islamic powers to nuclear capability on our dime is treason and then some.
I want to see him stumble up some steps one last time to a scaffold were his masters await him for their simultaneous drop. Televised for a “So You Know” learning moment.
All symbol with no factual benefit. All of the energy used to operate these machines is created by energy companies using fossil fuel. The loss in energy derivedfrom burning the fuel vs delivered by power lines results in nearly double the amount of fossil fuel required to run these machines with electricity rather than directly with natural gas. The net effect is higher energy costs to the consumer and greater dependence on fossil fuel. Both of these consequences are precisely the opposite of the claims made for this action.
This is simply another manifestation of central planning running roughshod over science, the private sector, and the economy to benefit political corruption.
Just wondering how many of the $169 Million $ “MSEC Selectee” companies are either Chinese-owned or owned by huge Democrat contributors.
A heat pump is only truly efficient when it has a very good heat sink (i.e., a deep well heat sink line driven far underground). Otherwise they have to depend on ELECTRIC resistance heat when the temperature outside is very cold.
Great Job there Spike.

Yeah, they work by sucking heat out of the air (or a deepwell sink line) and when the heat ain’t there it ain’t there. Then it’s the ELECTRIC RESISTANCE backup augmenter.
Using wartime powers for this sort of thing is another abuse of power. I agree his senile old man persona is an act to avoid public accountability for his abuses. He’s not even worth the money we pay him.
Hey now, stop confusing people with the facts.
Seriously though, physical resistance and the sheer amount of unutilized energy that should be retained are never factored in these evaluations.
If civilization’s advancement is being purposely retarded for the sake of a minority’s sheer greed then that has to fixed.
Then we have the Billionaire Club saying we’d be better off killing a few hundred million of us for the sake of their comparative few ‘more worthy’ who’ve shown their value to mankind for what? Being smart and lucky gambling with stocks at fortuitous points of time?
I know who I want to be the first people shot to Mars. Before economical radiation shielding is perfected.
Invoking “wartime powers”? Congress has not declared “war” since WWII.
Not worth the money we pay him........and the hordes of parasitic Bidens he brought with him.
Thank you Liz. But we need to step back and look at what the true ramifications of this really are. These little illegal moves like this if allowed to be done are incremental steps that set president and condition society towards accepting the final end game of total martial law by one small decree like this after another.
These little moves may sound insignificant, but if they are not immediately nipped in the bud as deceptive abuse of power they are going to accrue and add up into false powers being afforded to the President. He has already done this illegally more than enough, time to block every one of these attempts to rule by decree no matter how small they seem to be.
This is another fork of slow boiling the frogs.
>> Wake up people. We are Fd. prepare accordingly.
I don’t believe we’re “Fd”.
However I *do* believe we’re slouching towards open civil conflict provoked by federal tyranny, and your admonition to wake up and prepare is dead on.
>> I know who I want to be the first people shot to Mars.
I would settle for shooting them “towards” Mars. ;-)
In this case, the home appliance industry has more lobbying power than the natural gas industry.
When the electricity fails . . .
But does the Big Guy (”BG”) get his 10%? I think that’s what’s important here. /s
I lived through several power failures when I was living in a place that had gas-powered HVAC and hot water heating systems. The gas-powered systems didn’t work when there was no electricity.
Fascists, all.

And, dumber than a bag of rocks. The heat pump is like the EV in cold parts of the world. When you really need this technology to chase the cold - to keep you from freezing - it will let you down every time. Cold kills many more people than heat does.
Yep, thank you. The debate should not be about the content or topic of his actions, the debate needs to focus on whether he can even do these actions or not at all.
>The gas-powered systems didn’t work when there was no electricity.<
But a small gas generator produces enough current to keep the refrigerator, lights and furnace working. It cannot support a heat pump, electric range or electric water heater.
I’m considering a lawsuit against this war powers action. I would like to hear the administration explain how putting all of our energy needs into one basket increases our energy security.
