Unhappy birthday, Joe? Biden turns 81 with plans for VERY low-key Nantucket celebration, as White House launches 'BUBBLE WRAP strategy' to try and stop president tripping in public

Joe Biden has turned 81 with plans for a low-key celebration in Nantucket - as his administration deploys a 'Bubble Wrap' strategy to stop him from falling in public.

The President has seen repeated questions over his fitness for office, with polls and pundits suggesting it is a huge problem with less than a year to the 2024 election.

When asked to respond to concerns about his age by the New York Times, the White House swerved and tried to rattle off a list of his achievements.

'Because of President Biden's decades of experience in public service and deep relationships with leaders in Congress, he passed legislation that has helped to create more than 14 million jobs, lower prescription drug costs, invest in America's infrastructure and technology and led to the strongest economic recovery in the developed world,' White House Communications Director Ben LaBolt said.

But some of his staffers still believe he needs protecting, with a new strategy being set out to stop him falling or getting lost on stage like he has on multiple occasions.

Some described it as putting the president in bubble wrap until November 2024 to make sure he doesn't trip or fall in public again, like he did at an Air Force Academy commencement in June.

Yet other current and former administration officials vehemently disagree and called for him to hit the campaign trail to 'show his vigor' and 'boast about his age rather than ignore it.'

Veteran Democrat strategist Simon Rosenberg is in the latter camp, saying Biden should hit home his age and experience even harder.

'He's been successful because of his age, not in spite of it,' Rosenberg said.

'We're all going to have to make that case because it's true. We can't run away from the age issue.

Biden would probably trip over the notable man from Nantucket.

Do they really think we’re that dumb?

How many people took an experimental jab that had no long-term testing because they believed the Black Death was sweeping the country? And then they lined up for a second and even a third after it was blatantly obvious that was not the case?

Why don’t they just treat him like a marionette. Drug him down to catatonia and attach some strings and pull him along. That will work too.

Out of date Biden Talks up the Old Days; “folksy style” said to be an authentic asset,
Young Voters Say No; he’s losing support from blocs of millennials and Gen Z he “won” in 2020
By Catherine Lucey, WSJ, Nov. 19, 2023

Biden marks his 81st birthday Monday and seeks re-election, but his incessant stories about dead people and his references to people faded from public view, appear out of date to younger audiences. More than 60 years separates Biden from voters who will cast their first ballots in 2024, an acute age gap that presents a challenge for the oldest president in U.S. history. Youth voting increased significantly in 2020. Among 18 to 29 year old voters, 2020 Biden “beat” President Donald Trump by “24 percentage points.”

His continued references to politicians that Gen Z cannot relate to definitely puts him out of touch, critics say.

Biden’s team counters that the president’s “old-time references” are part of his “folksy style” that is an authentic asset, and they say newer generations connect to his ages-old wisdom and experience (relevant to another time).

Biden, who’ll be 86 at the end of a second term, has long employed his “greatest-hits,” stories including admonitions from his late parents and grandparents.

The nostalgic tales can feel like an unnerving turn through a 5th grade dog-eared history book of the 40’s.

Biden’s talk of his dealings with long gone segregationist senators like Strom Thurmond of South Carolina and James Eastland of Mississippi are actually offputting to the woke generation. Biden says when his first wife and daughter were killed in 1972, shortly after his first Senate victory, he was supported by a group of oldsters, now deceased, senators, then-Majority Leader Mike Mansfield of Montana, Thomas Eagleton of Missouri and Fritz Hollings of South Carolina.

Republicans have consistently sought to portray Biden as old and out of touch. Trump has mocked Biden’s age and abilities while the Republican National Committee, on X, recently declared Biden was “not playing with a full deck.”

Other old-timer Biden quirks are his bygone cultural references. During a Vietnam-centered news conference in September, he drew a moral equivalence between a John Wayne Western and skeptics of climate change.

Of all the inane things Biden has done, “invoking wartime powers” to force Americans to use inefficient electric heat pumps instead of gas furnaces, is loony, unless the Biden goal is to “cull the herd” or kill off Americans during winter months:

Biden invoking wartime powers for things unrelated to national defense is reckless and capricious. Besides, electric heat pumps in the colder areas of the country are patently unworkable.

Biden’s invoking “special wartime powers” shows you where this refugee-from-the-Cold-War is coming from. To over-the-hill Biden, (a 50 year product of legislating a wartime govt), wars are essential,
<><>wars are a Rooseveltian way to boost his presidency
<><>wars are the MO to continue the flow of tax dollars to the Biden Crime Family.

Biden’s now funding nine manufacturing projects with $169 million tax dollars he snagged from last year’s climate bill, is being claimed under the “emergency authority of the 40’s era Cold War Defense Production Act (DPA).

Yes. And election after election we prove them accurate.

After the first of the year as campaigns pick up, I expect to see the White House version of the basement strategy from last election.

“The President has seen repeated questions over his fitness for office” If they have to ask this over and over, they already know the answer.
