How "green" is RFK Jr?

Posted on 01/15/2024 12:25:27 AM PST by ganeemead

I asked OpenAI about this...

User
to what extent if any is RFK Jr involved with the green movement?

ChatGPT

RFK Jr., or Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has been involved in environmental activism and the green movement for several decades. He is an environmental lawyer, author, and activist known for his work on environmental issues. RFK Jr. has focused on advocating for water quality, renewable energy, and protection of natural resources.

He is the founder and president of the Waterkeeper Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting clean water and enforcing environmental laws. Additionally, he has been involved in initiatives related to climate change and sustainable development.

However, it's essential to note that individuals may have varying perspectives on the extent and impact of RFK Jr.'s involvement in the green movement. Public opinions on his environmental activism may differ, and some controversies surrounding his views on certain issues have also been noted.

In my view, greens are Malthusians, Malthusians are misanthropes, and Gaia worship and greenism are basically idolatry for the 21'st century. Those fools want to reduce the human population of the planet to medieval levels for the glory of Gaia, which is no better than the Baal worship and related crap you read about in the Old Testament.

Why do people seem to think ChatGPT is some sort of Oracle, rather than a search engine aggregator with a more advanced and more massaged interface?

Why are you asking ChatGPT *anything* at all? It’s a fancy parrot, not a font of knowledge.

Because, in theory, Google’s search engine results are just that: simple search results...NOT some bullshit made up on the spot by a highly flawed AI algorithm. ChatGPT is frequently incorrect, and can even make up its own “facts.”

ChatGPT is immensely useful for topics that do not involve controversies, i.e. for 95% of the questions you'd ever ask it. It is vastly easier to use and more approachable than Wikipedia and is not cliquish as are both Wiki and usenet.

Ask it any sort of a question related to a controversial topic and all you will get will be AI = Artificial Indoctrination. Nor is it capable of changing an opinion based on any facts and/or logic you might present it with.

The term “Renewable Energy(TM)” means spending giant sums on worthless medieval tech (windmills) rather than building the new gen reactors we need...

A few weeks ago I heard Dan Bongino playing a audio clip from RFK Jr. He was talking about internet connected appliances and suggested that, for example, they could be connected so that your utility company, or someone else, could turn off your water heater when yo arer not likely to be using to save energy. He apparently thinks others should be able to decide when you are allowed to have hot water.
