Panic Time for Obama … McCain/Palin Gets Bounce and Poll Trending in their Favor (Gallup & Zogby)
Scared Monkeys ^ | September 7, 2008

Now that’s a bounce and a half …

Obama, Biden, the LEFT and the MSM can complain all they want in their efforts to discredit Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin, the truth of the matter is that their efforts are failing and the favorable trend of the McCain/Biden ticket is on the up-swing. The LEFT does not have the right to tell McCain how he is to run their campaign … Obama and his crew only have the right and ability to run theirs in the manner they seem fit. In all honesty, the Obama campaign has been run terribly of late.

The once candidate of Change has been anything but and is seeing his poll number go down the drain. Obama had a chance for change by choosing a woman for his VP. Obama did not and he now gets to witness the consequences. McCain to the chance and showed America who the real candidate of change really is.

In polling land all signs are pointing to an incredibly favorable trend to John McCain and Sarah Palin. The bounce from the Republican National Convention is ongoing as the momentum from the Palin phenomenon and McCain’s most watched speech is paying dividends.

The Gallup Daily tracking poll has McCain up by 3% points ahead of Obama. Not too long ago Obama had an 8 point advantage. These results of the Gallup poll are based on September 4-6 interviewing. As Hot Air points out the McCain advantage is outside the margin of error.

McCain’s 48% share of the vote ties for his largest since Gallup tracking began in early March. He registered the same level of support in early May. This is also McCain’s largest advantage over Obama since early May, when he led by as much as six percentage points. Obama has led McCain for most of the campaign, and for nearly all of the time since clinching the Democratic nomination in early June.

Earlier, Zogby had shown that McCain had taken the lead by a rather substantial margin 49.7% to 45.9%.Todays Gallup poll certainly confirms that the bounce is still in play and trending upward for McCain. Think the Obama camp is not worried? They most certainly are.

Gallup tommorrow will show McCain 54% and Obama 44%. Sounds like it might be "game over" to me.

Nothing is over. We need to win 70% to 30 if we can.

Right. Way too early for gloating, although it is fair to say I'd rather be in McCain's shoes than Obama's right now.

“Nothing is over. We need to win 70% to 30 if we can.”

Roger that. And NO damnable “hanging chads.”

I'm with you. I want Obama to be beaten so badly that the democrats never nominate a marxist POS again.

I'm probably dreaming here ... but a drubbing MIGHT convince the democrats that they have to do some soul searching and maybe, just maybe, purge the moonbats from their leadership and become a viable alternative to the Republican party.

Poll numbers look excellent, too bad the election isn't next week. Let's not get too cocky, then complacent. November 4th is still a couple of months away. Plenty of time for the dems to get a new plan of attack.

Too early for the game to be over, but most polls next week will show a 5-8 point McCain lead.

I’m in California. It’s hard for me to tell how the rest of the country is taking Palin.

How is McCain doing in the swing states?

What’s the typical post convention bounce (that Obama did not get)?

I’ve been thinking that I don’t just want to win this election. I want Obama to lose so badly that he pulls several Senate and Congressional races down with him. I want him to get a butt kicking like McGovern. Is that asking too much? Lol

Maybe he will just go back to Illinois and never come back.

BHO's usual m.o. is to try to get his opponents removed from the ballot or force them out of the race by getting divorce records unsealed. So far their efforts in that regard in Alaska don't seem to be panning out. What's next? Getting McCain removed from the ballot in battleground states on the grounds that he's not a "natural born citizen"?

Usually the big dirty tricks are used just before the election (think the DUI story in 2000) but if his numbers drop he may have to start using them sooner.
