Didier Says Palin Did All She Could For His Campaign
OPB News ^ | August 17, 2010 | Anna King

Posted on 08/18/2010 6:14:55 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

The Senate candidate that had backing from the Tea Party, Clint Didier garnered about 12 percent of the vote on Tuesday’s primary election.

Didier relied heavily on his endorsement from Sarah Palin for his bid against Republican Dino Rossi.

Didier says although Palin didn’t come to Washington, her backing still helped his campaign.

Clint Didier: “Let me tell you what, don’t you take anything away from Sarah Palin, Sarah Palin is working her tail off for this country. She’s been all over this country to different states. She’s going where she thinks she can do the most good, I just thank her for her efforts.”

He’s best known for his NFL football career. Late Tuesday night Didier said he hasn’t decided yet if he will run for elected office again.

Clint sounds like a classy guy. It’s a real shame that he did not win. I would have voted for him(If I lived in WA) I hope he runs again, a class act all around

Really, what is it about strong conservative women that makes some who are supposedly on our side irrational reactionaries and,to say the least, aggresive jerks?

Must be a low T thing.

It agree that Didier is the candidate that I would have liked to see in the Senate. I think Rossi has a good chance of beating Murray, possibly the most moronic Senator in our states history however.

I love Sarah but she has made some bad calls on endorsements.

The endorsement of Karen Handel in Georgia was a big mistake. Sarah may have thought it was great to support a woman but Handel is a RINO from way back. Luckily she did not win the nomination.

Hey! He’s the guy who called Rush’s show last month, isn’t it? Darn shame he lost. Hopefully, it won’t be the last time he runs.

I guess I haven’t followed the threads on this, but some of te Palin support does seem a bit irrationally cultlike. If she is the nominee I’ll support her, and at this point I don’t see any other R who has a chance who is any better. Nevertheless, Palin really is nowhere near the level of a Reagan, and if I were to be enthusiatically promoting a woman it would have to be someone like Schlafley who really understands all of the policy issues from first principles and has a will like iron.

Well, now you’re stuck voting for Rino Dossi - again. Look at the bright side - you could be in California.

What a gracious thing for him to say. This would probably put him in good stead with the voters, should he decide to run in the future.

I really wanted to vote for this guy but i just did not believe he would be able to win in November. I hope we can find room for him in the WA GOP in future offices.

I really wanted to vote for this guy

In Wa, as you know, we have the "top two" wins, rather than straight party ballots. He is enough of a new comer to me that I did not want to split the vote three ways and let some bozo like phophet atlantis sneak in to become one of the top two.

I respect the fact Clint ran and hopefully he can shape Rossi's campaign before he hands his supporters over to Dino. Ditto for Mrs Palin.
