Seltzer poll: 33 percent of all likely voters support Tea Party

With the midterm elections just 18 days away, a new poll shows the Tea Party is gaining strength.

The surprising new Seltzer poll found that 33 percent of all likely voters plan to support Republicans backed by the anti-Washington Tea Party movement.

The stunning news came just months after the movement, which demands lower taxes and smaller government, emerged.

"I understand some of the excitement has faded since election night or inauguration day," President Obama said while campaigning in Delaware on Friday. "Don't let them convince you we have not made progress. We have made progress."

But the Obama agenda could stall. 33 Tea Party-backed candidates have good shots at winning House seats and helping Republicans take control of the House.

Tea Party candidates have promised to pressure whoever controls Congress, roll back taxes, spending, government regulations, and health care reform.

An exceptional win for the party would be the defeat of Harry Reid, the Senate Democratic leader, who is now trailing in some Nevada polls.

Tea Party Republican Sharron Angle has hammered Reid on Nevada's 14 percent unemployment rate.

But National Public Radio just claimed that the GOP has peaked in the polls and the Democratic "message" is finally getting through...

No way have we peaked; dream on RATs! Everyone I talk to can’t wait to get their ballots. Everywhere I go, I hear “I won’t vote for anyone with Democrat after their name.”

I wish I had a sack full of Jimmy’s Hotdogs right now! I think the election is shaping up to be historical. And these polls, IMHO, do not show the depth of anger in America and the resolve of Patriots to take our America back.

I may lock myself in the cellar without internet until this is over.

Anything less than smashing victories by Republicans will be touted 24/7 as meaningless by the SRM.

With NPR it's not the news that counts, it's the propaganda that is important.

They just can't get a handle on how to effectively help the dimocrat's.
