Unusual VOTING event in Golden Valley, MN
grey_whiskers ^ | 11-2-2010 | grey_whiskers

A caller to the Chris Baker show on 100.3 FM KTLK in Minneapolis, reported that he was the first voter on site at a Precinct in Golden Valley, MN (suburb immediately to the West of Minneapolis, and home to the broadcast studios of TV station KARE-11).

Minnesota's voting system utilizes pieces of paper where the voter completes an arrow next to the name of their selected candidates with a black marker. The paper is fed through a scanner.

So, the FIRST voter at this polling place reported that "the scanner was broken" and the election officials were collecting the ballots in a sealed bin of the type that the ballots are fed into *AFTER* going through the scanner.

No word on how this bin will be separated from those full of already-counted ballots, nor on when the scanner will be fixed, nor yet again on how the ballots in *this* bin will get counted (or if a bunch of straight DEM ballots will be, oops, "substituted by mistake", eh?)

Chris Baker said that he'd ask poll watchers lawyers to get on it; I'd appreciate any updates.

NO cheers, unfortunately.

The same thing was reported in a location near Chicago.

I would love to say you’re being paranoid. I would love to believe the Democrats love their country and respect the system as much as we do.

I would be wrong to say either.

They will cheat more — and more clumsily — this year than ever before.

Can one of you (or Kristinn or another alpha-FReeper) set up an official "Voting Shenanigans Watch List" thread?

I don't have enough gravitas for people to notice...

Cheers!

Sounds like all the right reasons to perform a citizens arrest of illegal voting officials.

And we’ll probably hear scattered reports of similar events nation wide throughout the day and night. The Commies will stop at nothing to win an election; they see it as theirs to steal.

Ask the poll officials "How can I fight against the TEA party if my vote won't get counted?"

Then stand back and see what happens.

that "the scanner was broken"

I would've asked, IS IT PLUGGED IN?.....and watched their reaction

This is happening in Cottage Grove, MN, too.

Exactly the same thing.

I’m betting the big cheating is in the absentee ballots and reg repub ballots are going in the garbage. No way to trace whether your vote got counted.

SOmehow the Democrats will find that these ballots put the Dems over the top, plus what they forgot in their trunks.

That'll work in MN.

I'll try it if necessary.

Cheers!

It usually happens in democrat districts. You are always given your ballot, you fill it out, go to put it in the scanner just to be told the scanner is down. They direct you to put it in the box below.

This happens almost every time I vote in an important election. I always figured my ballot ends up in a dumpster behind the firehouse.

These people know the GOP voters always show up early. This year I am going to vote later in the day. My husbamd says when he votes after work, the scanners are mysteriously working.

The last time we had a minor election in an off year, the scanners were just fine early in the day.

I am also going to ask before I fill out my ballot this year if the scanners work, if they don’t, I will return later.

  Show up at 6:30PM wearing flip-flops and a tie-dyed T-shirt.

That wouldn’t help. The scanners still won’t be working. I bet I could drive up there right now and the scanners will be down. After noon, they get all those “little bugs” worked out. LOL

What rankles me is that we all knew the election was coming. They have plenty of time to make sure the scanners work.

I wish I had some kind of xray to see whose trunk the premarked ballots are in.

They could test all the machines before the election. It’s very suspicious when they tell the 1st person to arrive that it isn’t working. The uncounted ballots should be followed - maybe with a movie camera and a lawyer.
